What a shame, she was so young too. I forgot how many catchy pop tunes she had in the 80's...."Gloria" used to drive us grade 10's wild on the dance floor...R.I.P.

I enjoyed Gloria in grade 7, but that was when Van Morrison (fronting Them) was singing it.

My favorite Branigan song was Ti Amo. What power her voice had.

I saw on Carson once. Either she was very nervous, or high.

Yup, she did the songs posted above. Kinda weird, but the "shrill" in her voice gave me goose bumps. I was very young and horny.

According to her brother she had been complaining about headaches for the last two weeks but refused to go see a doctor.

On a board with several sections dedicated to the Strip Club scene, I cannot believe that someone has not pointed out the fact that for a lengthy stretch of the 80's, all dancers used "Ti Amo" as their 3rd, or "rug dance" song. Spend the afternoon in the peeler bar, and it was song A, song B, Ti Amo. New girl, song C, song D, Ti Amo. New girl, song E, song F, Ti Amo... all day, for months at a time.

RIP Laura Branigan.
