I'm gonna say the Magic in 7
I would like to say Magic in 7 as well and I am predicting the Magic will win the series but but the only problem is game 7 is in LAL and its just hard for me to picture the Lakers losing a game 7 on their home floor.

Therefore I'm taking Orlando in 6. I wonder what Dr.Phil's strategy will be? Do you double D12? Or do you stay at home on shooters? Its almost a pick your poison situation. Do you go small to try and matchup better with the Magic? With both Pau & Bynum on the floor together that will make things interesting on the defensive end of the floor.

As a side note, it will be interesting watching these games on ABC. JVG calling games involving his brother SVG. Could you imagine if the Magic hit a 3-ball at the buzzer for a win? Will JVG be able to contain his excitement on the air? Knowing how JVG is, I think if anything JVG will try to be more hard on Orlando. He will criticize everything SVG both positive and negative - does because he doesnt want to appear as if he is being biased.

black mamba

I'm gonna say the black mamba wins this. I'm going with experience over streaky shooting. The last game in Denver showed me that not only is Kobe hungry for another ring but also playoff tuff. I had Denver to win since they like Orlando had more scorers but Phill and Kobe executed an offensive and defensive plan to a t and killed them.

The magic is a streaky team they go hot and cold scoring so I dont think they are ready jus yet.

SVG does deserve a ring though. He got a raw deal back in Miami when they got Shaq and all of a sudden Riley shipped SVG out over night.

I think you meant SVG but I hear you.

Orlando is streaky as evidenced by the number of leads they have blown in this playoffs as well as the number of huge comebacks they have had in these playoffs. So its a two-way street. Sure they can sometimes shoot themselves out of big leads but also can shoot themselves back into games after being down big deficits. The game is always in the balance with them.

I'm pulling for the Magic in six.
It'll be interesting to see how Phil Jackson defends against the Magic because they can beat you inside or they can beat you from the outside. Pick your poison baby.

Rumour was that Shaq wanted Riley and not Van Gundy coaching.

I hope so. Im predicting Magic in 6. Will be interesting to see if Phil doubles D12 or stays at home on the shooters. Also I"m interested to see if Phil goes small to matchup with the Magic.

thanks, youre right:D

JVG will be analyzing the series for ABC though. Should be interesting hearing JVG do commentary on a series involving SVG.

I think Howard beating Lebron and co. is very symbolic. Lebron is good but has a lot of hype whereas Howard is just simply the real deal. I've always hated punkass Kobe "thinks-he's-Jordan" Bryant so I'm gunning for the Magic to win.

I think Lebron deserves the hype but I do think Dwight gets overlooked and doesnt get the credit that he deserves. Dwight was money in the Eastern Conference Finals. I wish D12 would get more pub than he does.

I lost a lot of respect for Lebron for not shaking hands after losing the series. He said the reason was "I am a winner". What it screamed was: "I am a poor sport". Methinks Lebron couldn't look Dwight in the eye.

Orlando matched up well against Cleveland with Dwight not really having to guard anyone. He was able to help and wait for Lebron in the paint, a luxury he won't have against LA. He was in foul trouble with the Cavs and will be in foul trouble more so versus the Lakers, having to guard Gasol or Bynum. Orlando also took advantage of the mismatches with Hedo and Lewis. Cleveland had to put Lebron on one (mostly Turkoglu) and the other had is way with who ever Cleveland put out there. The Lakers with Odom, Ariza, Walton and Kobe will be able to at least challenge Hedo and Rashard.

If Lebron had any help in those first 3 games they would have led that series 3-0 and probably be in the Finals. He was a one man show and they almost made it. Kobe and his better supporting cast will prove the Western Conference was far Superior than the East this year.

Lakers will win it all. Kobe can be just as dangerous as LeBron but the Lakers also have size and talent down low (Gasol, Odom, Bynum) to compete with Howard. The Magic need to get super hot from 3 to have a chance.

He'll probably employ the same defensive strategy that he used in the '96 ECFs against Shaq. He'll let Howard go off for 40+, but stay home against the Magic shooters. M'Benga, Bynum & Gasol are going to use up all of their 6fouls on Howard to frustrate him.

On offense, I see him isolating Odom on either Lewis or Turkoglu in a few situations. Make them work on defense to prevent them from going off on offense. Jackson is not a huge fan of pick-n-roll, but I can see him running it with Bryant & whomever Howard is guarding.

LMFAO. LeBron is a lot of hype? It is plain to see that you do not watch a lot of basketball. LeBron could not win the series "by himself" (no one can win a series by themselves) as there were many broken parts around him and the supporting cast was not very supportive. This is not a slight to D12 because I think he is a monster and should a force for years to come.

How the hell were the Cavs going to beat the Magic? The Cavs had D. West guarding Turkoglu. Unbelievable. How could LeBron and the Cavs win the series with that type of mismatch in height? No one could stop Rashard Lewis because he is way too athletic for anyone on the Cavs (think of the Cavs bigs) and he spreads the floor very well.

Do you really think that Kobe thinks he's Jordan? IMHO Jordan is the greatest but Kobe isn't far behind.

Jordan was a role model and a great ambassador for the game and Kobe is not nearly as outgoing but in terms of playing basketball and utilizing their teammates they are almost a dead heat.

I guess you don't watch too many Lakers games either.

Yes, you're right I mostly only watch Raps games because excuse me, but I'm a RAPS FAN. I never said Lebron didn't deserve the hype; I said he gets tons of hype whereas someone almost as dominating like Howard doesn't get any. Re: Kobe, I just think he's a punk. I'm a Shaq fan and their acrimonious parting made me dislike Kobe even more. When Bosh was doing the tonite show interviews, Kobe gave Bosh a huge hand slap on the back of his neck which is a trademark "Jordan". Stealing Jordan's moves off the floor too? Lame. I find him arrogant and this maid-touching-shit-gate doesn't help his image.
