Mel Schacher, extremely under-rated bass player. Like Charlie Watts on drums, he kept it simple but extremely tasty. Probably the only reason I kept listening to the Flint boys after they went schmaltzy, cutting short the lifespan of the band.

I would think almost any song recorded by Rick James can be included in this thread. I will post "Give it to Me Baby" other than the obvious, Super Freak.
