For tonight's tilt at the ACC Kidd is back in at goal and Roberts is out for a week while Belfour still suffers form back pain. Any thoughts on how long the Leafs can hold out with Belfour on the shelf? Or is getting an insurance goalie the route to take? Also, any predictions for the game tonight between the Leafs and the Bruins?

Unfortunately this Leaf fan thinks Kidd sucks. We are spoilt with Belfour in net. Hope he gets better soon :(

Jim, grow up dude. Its one thing to be proud and cheer for your team, its another thing to be a pain in the ass.
If you put him on ignore, the message is much more enjoyable. "This person is on your Ignore List. To view this post click [here]" , LOL. You're trying to reason with a kid, probably 15 or so who has some issues.

Haven't read a Pansey post in a while.

ESPN Story:

Ed Belfour expects to play against Columbus Feb. 12, the Toronto Star reported. Belfour had missed three straight because of an ailing back. "It's something he's experienced before and generally it's taken this sort of time before. I fully expect him to resume his good play," coach Pat Quinn told the newspaper. Belfour is 23-15-5 with a 2.20 goals-against average and .915 save percentage.

Still out .... hehehe. This is getting serious !

That's it Jim!!!!

I have to admit; I don't think I'll ever get tired of Jim's crazy impressions of a dumbass Sens fan.
Jim, you deserve an Oscar buddy; you're like the rain man of terb.

Every time you open your mouth, you make Leaf fans stand a little taller.
Good job, buddy. Your plan is working perfectly!

Roberts pulled a leg muscle. I think he will be out for a week.

Mogilny will be back later this week or early next.

Dallas picked up Corson?

Telquist is the next in line, to me, Trevor has blown too many games now.

Myself, I'd like to see Kaberle/Antropov go. I'd love Gonchar, Kolzig ( backup ) and either Lang or ONeil to come over.
Kathleen - Tellqvist was given the chance last night an gave up 4 goals to the worst team in the league. I think Quinn saw that its better to go with the experience in Kidd than the unproven in Tellqvist. Who knows, maybe sitting Kidd yesterday gave him something to think about.

I remember just 2 years ago everyone raving about Kaberle and Antropov, especially Kaberle and touting him as the Norris calibre defenceman the Leafs have been missing since Salming. Funny how he has slipped to 3rd or 4th on the depth chart on the club so fast. Fans would just as soon trade these 2 sooner rather than later.

That quite the shopping list Kathleen ;). To get something like that the Leafs would have to give a bit up. Remember the Leafs are basically getting a new player on the roster in Mogilny, so to make a trade of that magnitude and getting Mogilny back in would maybe mess too much with chemistry.

Pansey - shut the fuck up!. You're an idiot!!!!!

Kathleen,

Interesting thought on a trade proposal w/the Caps. I don't have an issue with trading Antropov and Kabarle, but I don't think the leafs need another player to put the puck in the net.

Gonchar is a great offensive player but he's a defensive liability. The only reason I see the Leafs picking that guy up is to pair him with Klee who was his partner last year.

What the Leafs need is a big mean defenseman like a healthy young Darien Hatcher or an Adam Foote who can also log a lot of ice time. They should make a push to bring back Jason Smith from Edmonton. That was one of Quinns bonehead moves.

As far as bringing in Kolzig, he's a number one goalie and that would want ice time...not back up the eagle. Eddie doesn't perform at his peak if he feels that he has competition for his job. When Eddie was in Chicago; an up and coming goalie named Jeff Hackett was challenging him for top spot, Eddie had lost it on him and that's how he ended up in Dallas.

Kidd is just that ...a backup; to spell Eddie when he needs it. Just take a deep breath and count to ten...come April when it really matters, all this trash talking will be meaningless.

So let the games begin!

After Berg just gave away the puck 2x in 50sec, Kidd just let in a weak one on the second give away.

- Alexei Ponikarovsky fpr Mogilny
Kathleen - And you don't think that goal was more Berg's fault than Kidd's?? 2 give aways in 1 shift should make it clear. Why bench Ponikarovsky? I think he has been coming on of late. Talk is that Perrot would sit.

Myself, I would replace...
- Aki Berg with Gonchar ( Putting Gonchar/Klee back together)
- Alexei Ponikarovsky fpr Mogilny
- Domi or Fitzgerald for ONeil ( adds scoring and grit )
- Either Kolizig of the the fat kid from Mighty Ducks movie for Kidd
A few questions:

1) Are you saying O'Neil has more grit than Domi or Fitzgerald? How much has he been scoring this year?

2) Do you think Jim Rutherford would trade O'Neil even up for either of those guys? If not, who else do the Leafs throw in?

3)Who do the Leafs give up to get Gonchar? He won't go cheap. And if you have to include a defenseman to get him Berg would still wind up starting.

You're talking about trading away probably about 4 guys and sitting another 3. That's turning over 1/3 of the lineup of a first place team. A little radical I think, messing that much with a more than reasonable amount of success.

I'm pretty sure the fat kid has a better save percentage than Kidd. For sure, he's not as ugly.

Interesting at the top

With both Philly's and the Leafs loss of 5-2 tonight couples with Ottawa's tie the East Conference is a difference of 3 point amongst the top 4 teams based on points. Makes for a very interesting stretch drive. Riveting isn't it? :)

BTW Ottawa moves into first place in the division because of less games played.

Lalime has been exposed for what he is...a very average goalie on a good defensive team. There is a reason this guy spent 5 years in the minors and was let go by both Pittsburgh and Aneheim. The day Ottawa and their defensive system got hold of him was the happiest day in Lalimes life. Lalime would be the the backup goalie on most teams in the NHL and in the minors again on others.

But wait jim, he'll help get you a Stanley Cup right? Hehehehe. There are more teams in the NHL than the Leafs. The Leafs have crushed the Sens in the playoffs enough. With Lalime Ottawa has no shot. Rack'em up, Hehehe. Get your hopes up another year fattie. Hehehehe

My proposal for ONeil is Clarke Wilm and a draft pick. If more is needed, add Carlo Colaiacovo and the Cans must add in Bob Boughner.

Bad move to trade Colaiacovo. Rule number# 1

NEVER trade one of you top future prospects away for a grinder. This reminds of the great Russ Courtnall for Coke-head Kordic trade!! Ick.

That's right, Jim.

Be that asshole. Ignore the polite pleas of Terb members who don't understand your devotion to the Leafs and your hatred of the Sens.
They want peace of mind, and you won't give it to them. You're hardening their hatred of the Sens, just like you planned.

Show what kind of prick it takes to be a Sen fan. The Leaf ranks are swelling because of you.

I just got a few pms from Sen fans who have admitted they turned over a new Leaf so to speak because they are so embarassed of you. Way to go.

You sir, are the master of deception.
You play the fool, so well!
There is method to this man's madness!

I'm with you bud, GO LEAFS GO!

Kidd sucks but Lalime sucks worse, and he is your starter, hehehe. The Sens don't golf, they hang out in gay bars all offseason, hehehe. The Sens give viruses to eachother, hehehe. The Sens french Kiss after each game, hehehe. Jim Pansey dreams about being the Pansey in a Sens sandwich, hehehe. Pansey shaves Chara's legs before games, hehehe.
