I'll save it for a realistic topic. They should get rid of the FG. Most boring play in football. It should be TD or nothing.
(Yes, yes, I know Shack and his BFF will disagree with me.)
I totally disagree. It's a real thrill watching that ball fly through the air in the dying seconds of the game determining the outcome. They should get rid of the FG. Most boring play in football. It should be TD or nothing.

In light of that, do you think that they could incorporate a rouge in there somewhere? Or a touchdown off a punt or kickoff would count as an automatic victory, game over.I would eliminate touchdowns as well as field goals, scoring only by touchbacks.
It will be all about the punters.
Field position will still be critical, as you need to get close enough to the endzone to get proper hangtime
and opportunity for the kicking team to shut down the punt returner.
If the game ends tied, free kicks, whichever punter can kick the ball the highest.
But you can get to 1st base without actually hitting the ball.Got to think outside the box.
Other than N.A. football, does any other sport give partial points for failure? In hockey, soccer, basketball and baseball you either score or you don't. For example, you don't get partial points in baseball if you make it to 2nd or 3rd base.
While we're at it, eliminate the fair catch in the NFL.
I think the current strategy is to go for the home run.Having to drive in runs from 2nd and 3rd affects the strategy of the game in an exciting way.
Rugby. Darts (Big LOL for that one) Figure skating. Diving.Got to think outside the box.

Yeah, I agree, NFL should play CFL ball, 20 yard end zone, 110 yard field length, 65 yard width from 53.5 yards.Since we're at it, the NFL needs to make the field larger. The current players are behemoths and it looks like they are playing on a sandbox in that little field.
I would go for that, but then it’s a different game.Since we're at it, the NFL needs to make the field larger. The current players are behemoths and it looks like they are playing on a sandbox in that little field.
Sumo wrestlers are fat and ugly too. Ban the sport. I don't find hockey or basketball nets very attractive either. Get rid of those and let the players shoot at targets. If we get rid of field goals and converts, we can also get rid of those ugly goalposts.
That's a good enough reason to ban those sports also. No subjectivity permitted.Figure skating and diving are "judged" sports. Very subjective.
CFL has 3 downs, NFL has 4 downs. I would let it be as is.Would you go for 3 downs instead of 4?
