Key Reasons for the drastic change in the SP market (agencies)?

Since I came back to Toronto Hobbying after a long gap of three years, the sharp change in the ratio of quality agency SPs to hobbyists has indeed caught me by surprise.

In comparison (just talking agency girls) to those three years (2017 to 2019) before the pandemic: I notice that there are now a) less truly high-quality SPs (just from my point of view with my limited hobbying on my return, obviously highly subjective here) b) age of the average SP is now much higher with these agencies across the board c) even some one remotely good/fresh/young is getting promoted to the highest rate/level almost instantly. Used to take few weeks/months of solid reviews and getting booked fully. d) even basic CoB/CoF/Cim is now an upcharge with most SPs (earlier these things were included in the 45 mins/1 hr bookings for many SPs - only cimsw/greek were an upcharge - in fact, many SPs did cimsw back then without even upcharge if you booked for one hour - so the service levels have changed).

What are the key factors here? a) general cost of living has exploded due to the money printing during pandemic b) very high levels of immigration into Toronto- many of these are horny, young men with cash, so figures into our ratio c) the quality caucasian university gals are into sugar-dating (is that a better deal for them financially? Just curious to know why).

Why is the supply not keeping up with the increased demand?

Am I missing any other factor here? As the Change is quite dramatic imho. Has anyone else noticed this?

I also appreciate that change is the only thing that does not change in this world. But this has indeed taken me by surprise since I was absent for three years. For the non-heavy hitters with normal income/moderate savings, this current market is definitely crappy compared to the three years before the pandemic. My bank balance is thanking me though. I am glad I splurged back in 2017-19 when it was literally an amazing Hobbyist market and that was the period when I found Toronto to be the very best hobbying city in the world - not anymore.

Please do not mistake me or think that I am being cynical, just my honest observations on re-entering this hobby in Toronto after three years. I am still grateful for all the quality current SPs (and their agencies) and the amazing reviews here; just that I cannot help but notice this huge drop in the Value for your money in this hobbying market at the moment. Of course, it can and will probably change when the supply improves.

What's your sample size? How many girls have you seen? There are hundreds and hundreds of girls available just from the ones that advertise here.

When you travel abroad, and come back you notice things are silly here. This makes you grow.

The change "may be" caused by Only Fans and X - (Twitter) , Sugar +++, and dating apps.

SO yeah there are changes from your POV but for some who are here and have not seen other samples it doesn't look like it changed.

I noticed this too. When I was in Toronto years ago, there were lots of young, high quality sps. Last time I visited Toronto, I couldn't find anyone I was interested in.

I think agencies want to keep a margin of safety in terms of age. Any sp who looks young could potentially be a minor, so the agencies will hire only those who are clearly above 19. This means skipping over those who are 20-22. LE doesn't care about escorts, as long as they are not minors.

As mentioned, the younger ones are now going to social media and dating apps such as seeking.com. They are able to command more money by seeing a few regulars, and there's less stigma involved.

Anecdotally I might suggest the market place is saturated and watered down primarily for two reasons.

1) demand/supply. The GTAs population has exploded and the average age is getting older. Way more clients looking for sex…= more supply required

2 ) Pornhub, Only fans and quick easy money. Has drawn a higher proportion of low quality providers

and subsequently, as consumers would seem the vast majority of clients that’s all they want. Tits/ass/something wet, PH and OF. Less concerned with the things that separates the signal from noise.

I’ll say this much as a consumer myself. When I follow someone one twitter. If all they are promoting Tits, ass,,something wet, and basically a content approved soft porn version of PH..aka If that’s all they have to sell..

I'd argue that this applies just about everywhere. Workers are demanding more and giving less across just about every industry. That's what happens when there's a labor shortage, and mass retirement during a pandemic. It stretches the labor pool and creates a seller's market. You see it in hobbying, you see it in all these strikes, you see it in the proliferation of tip demands, etc.

The conservative government really altered the landscape, making it illegal for John's to see escorts. You used to see ads all all the time with the services: bbbjcim, dfk, etc. That has for the most part gone away. Also, no more young, hot foreign women from Eastern Europe and Asia. They were allowed previously to come on a visa. No more.

Precisely. I was literally struggling to keep up in 2017-19 in Toronto since there were so many young hotties to choose from at very, very favourable rates (I only used top agencies, no indys).

I am just surprised more hobbyists have not noticed these changes (or they have but just accepted it as part of the economics of the industry).

Also like @Not getting younger has hinted in his post above, probably true that most Johns are just looking for quick sex to relieve the stress of daily life now, and are not bothered too much about the quality of the provider. It is definitely highly watered down now.

Like @xix has mentioned, the new Johns would accept this as the norm as they have not tasted the pre-pandemic scene here. And to be fair, not everyone gets the chance to hobby in other nations to compare. Just comparing Toronto to its own recent past provides us with enough contrast.

But I do think just the increase in the cost of living, primarily rent, but also many other things has meant that there is big increase in the number of girls trying to go for the quick money. As a result, the 'quality' varies widely.

diamonds in the rough Mr deeds, forest for the trees. Again, the market place is only reacting to “demand”….

there are some very good young SPs, don’t make the mistake of broad ( lol word play) brushstrokes. But the inverse is true imo. The younger ones generally speaking are those soaking/saturating ( yet another) PH/OH and watering down the available options.

Honestly I enjoy the 28 plus ones. It's a better conversation and most have been around for a few years and know what they doing.

Very true. Some of my best experiences have been with sp's who are 30+ Not that there are younger sp's who are good but the older they are I find the better experience you get since most likely they have been in the industry for a longer time. They are more service oriented compared to the younger ones who just market themselves based on their looks.

Re age preferences.

I'm 28 plus, have a leaning towards 30-35. Something to do with maturity, having experienced life more, find communication is better ( see thread about better sex) etc. That said there are always exceptions.

Ditto. There is something hot about the co-ed type, smoking body and a fresh new face, but sometimes the experience can’t match the packaging. I’ve found that a bit of maturity means a better chance of a better interaction all around. Conversation, atmosphere and the sex.
