Art Van Dele, please read.
Yea I remember millions and millions of Americans were begging Tavares to stay, Marched on the streets, kids and adults signing petitions for him to stay. Who could forget #Tavares stay???
In life sometimes you’re given the opportunities to be more than what you are great at,to become a great leader, a great hero, a great healer, a great inspiration. Very few unique outstanding individuals seize that moment to become that greatness, the rest they will just remain good at what they do.

Makes one wonder...

If keeping Demar Derozan would have been the smarter move. He was loyal to Toronto from what I’ve read. And with Cleveland changing up, perhaps the Raps might have pulled it off with a loyal cast.

I hope that we will shower him with love and respect when he's in town playing the Raptors next season. At least he was trying to stay by asking Masai to trade for George. He's giving up 50mil just to go home. I respected him for that.

wonk, don't feed the trolls, bandwagonistas, and haters! We know where we were a year ago and the outcome of believing then justifies all. Kawhi, you weren't long for us but no one can argue with your focus to the cause, regardless of your personal outlook. This all could have gone one billion ways differently and none positive yet we got the one outcome (that many didn't even believe could happen until till a month ago) that will be permanently etched in whatever needs etching! Agree or disagree, man came (when he might not have) man played (when he might not have) man performed (when he might not have) and man delivered (when he might not have). So did Danny. Anyways, rant ends ; thank you Klaw and DannyG, and yes, we are the 2019 NBA CHAMPIONS! Let's go raptors!!

Tavares reaches free agency and signs with his home town team, and he’s a hero. kL reaches free agency and chooses LA and he’s a jerk? Right? I got it now.
No, he never had any intention of ever signing here, he was stalling and led the Raptors on, that is the issue.

I'm glad I won't have to here matt Devlin say 'green for 3, doesn't go' anymore.

KL always wanted LA. The Raps winning just complicated things for a bit, but the PG trade smoothed everything out again.

Masai didn't get played like the Lakers did.

Be another 24 yrs before we win as proven again no star wants to stay in Toronto
Well, at least we got one. Do you know how many have never even won? They include those very same Clippers who haven't even been to a conference finals and they have been around for 49-50 years!!!!!

Masai had started a new trend with GMs in the league. Everyone is a gambler! Clippers just followed what Masai did with the Raps last year. NBA is going banana right now! LOL

Anyone who doesn't hope he gets injured next year is lying, and is consistently injured for the rest of his career. .
I'm ashamed to say that the thought did cross my mind, lol.

As a fan though I wish him well just not championship success or success against us. Goodbye Kawhi it was fun while it lasted.

Let's see what Masai can pull out of his sleeve now. It will be an interesting year.
