Kaberle is gone for '07 now
that is all you need to know.

everyone knows he won't be back.

for Kaberle to say he thinks he'll be ok to return in 1 week clearly shows that he indeed has had his bell rung!

the very mentioning of exactly what an injury is this late in the season should hint at whether the Leafs are headed for the playoffs or not.

look around at other playoff bound teams- it's all upper body or lower body injuries now and in some cases flu-like symptoms or undisclosed injuries.

these are all management issues.

This look very similiar to Carlo's injury and remeber how long he was out.
you are 100% right. alot the same. scary thing is Kaberle hit the boards harder.

Total conjecture...on everyone's part

...including the experts....doctors really have no clue on this stuff either...now there is a new theory that rest is not the best solution to recovery, now there are some that say monitored exercise is best..who knows. I know Kaberle hopes he can come back, so does the organization and the fans. He could be back next week, next month, next year...or never...no one knows for sure, time will just have to take it's course

when i played for Newmarket in the O, the way we handled it was with monitored exercise... that was back in the early '90s.

i since went to school and studied kinesiology where studies suggested even the least stressing of exercise didn't help in speeding up recovery from a concussion, instead delaying the recovery period.

my guess is exercise is a likely necessity to avoid getting out of shape... but, definitely more rest than usual is a requirement because it seems to be the only thing to prevent your brain from turning into further mush.

also, supplements help somewhat.

probably the simplest and truest way to put it.

they did, however, celebrate beating Montreal like they won a Cup or something!!! lol...

(maybe it's just because they beat Montreal) lol...

It made me sick seeing Raycroft jumping, hugging and celebrating on the ice after the win over Montreal.
All this talk about him tying Belfour at 37 wins with no mention of the 7 extra losses he had in comparison. Those losses were the difference!
I can't seem to remember Cujo or the Eagle being pulled as much (combined) as "Razor". Actually, he hasn't even earned the right to deserve having a nickname other than..........any suggestions?.

Yea ... Just look at the Canuks .. I think in Salary Cap world the only time
it pays to over pay is goaltending ... All I have to say is shut up about your
37 wins Raycroft ... The last week of the season we needed a win and you lost 3 times .... Rangers, Islanders, and Canadians ( you were pulled while team was losing ) ...

Paul Maurice has talked of Raycroft making 65 to 70 starts again. - Toronto Sun ...

What this proves is this coach is stuburn ... I worry about this coach when
he comes out with like that after

...In one breath , Maurice states that the Leafs allowed the 6th fewest shots in the league...but their GAA was somewhere near the bottom. I'd say that Raycroft deserves much of the blame, but the Leafs team defense is pretty bad as well...Only elite goalies should get over 55-60 games a year...and Raycroft is as far from that as you can get...

That ignores the fact that maybe Raycroft faced more than his fair shar of quality shots as well. I'm not saying thats the case, but the reasoning is a little faulty.
