When this was posted today I thought that this is also the kind of thing that represents disenfranchisement of the youth.I agree with almost everything you just wrote. the caveat is when the guy the investment banker is running against is an idiot with no actual real world experience of any kind, you have no choice but to go with the banker.
That's why a party on the verge of being eliminated now holds power.
Elections are choices and simpletons get exposed in a crisis.
To give you a parallel, many people would agree with Trump on the problems the US faces .... it is his lack of experience and unstable temperament that causes the world to doubt he can produce effective solutions.
That is why you get the same mixed message from the US electorate ... polls show that Trump has a horrific approval rating BUT that he would still win the election if redone today.
They understand that wages haven't gone up with housing and all other expenses.
The solutions are complex but the right wing solution always seems to be that lower taxes will fix this.
