A family law judge faced a police investigation today after his disabled daughter posted on YouTube a secretly-filmed video of her father beating her with a leather belt.
Hillary Adams took revenge on her father, Court-at-Law Judge William Adams from Aransas County, Texas, saying: 'It had happened before, and had been escalating. I set up a camera, and I caught it.'
Police Chief Tim Jayroe, of Rockport, Texas, said today that the probe was launched after members of the public contacted them after the film swept the Internet.
Taken in 2004 when the girl was 16, Miss Adams decided last week to make it public by uploading it on YouTube and it was then posted on Reddit.
Chief Jayroe said he has not determined the identities of the people in the video nor whether any crimes were committed, according to Msnbc.
After being shown the video, this afternoon Judge Adams responded to the tape.
He said: 'It happened years ago.. I apologized. It's not as bad as it looks on tape.'
As a result of the furore, the video was being examined by the District Attorney and previous controversial judgements Judge Adams made in cases involving children have come to light.
The young woman, who suffers from cerebral palsy, was attacked because she was caught downloading music to the computer in her bedroom.

I'm sure that fucktard has used his authority on the bench to improperly redefine families against the will of the affected parties over lesser issues. It takes a defeated ignorant immature wimp to abuse a kid like that. I hope his minded is continuously haunted with the clear memories of whatever happened to him in childhood to make him turn out like that. 18 hits to the front and back of her.... Im so glad she was smart enough to record the entire event on her computer when they did this. This guy needs to be put in jail and turned into a submissive bitch himself, maybe then he'll learn what the internet is all about. Smacking the shit out of her for downloading a game, fuck me. My father tried that shit with me when I was 13 years old, on about the 7th hit as my mom was screaming for him to stop, I reach for my hockey stick and cracked him across the front of his face, breaking his nose and check bone in several places. Once he was on the ground I kept going till he was unconcious. He has never raised his voice to another person since that day!

I have always abhorred corporal punishment and this is the exact reason why. This went WAY past a little "smack". Both parents were acting in anger. They need to be charged with assault and battery, and jailed. The girl needed to be removed from that home, although it sounds like she is old enough to go on her own by now.

Just watched it on CNN, what a bastard, prick, gutless, spineless asshole.............beating up a disabled, little, helpless girl. They're saying he might get away with it in the state of Texas where they believe in punishment, and now the little girl says she regrets putting it on YouTube because of all the attention. Man, that was sick to watch and I only watched about 27 sec of it on CNN, can't bring myself to watch 7 1/2 minutes of the beating.
Nobody should be whipped at any age like that!

I just got done reading a few quotes from"his honour".He barely regrets it.....hope it was worth it..job...gone.....career..gone....friends of any worth..probably gone....this is probably the one thing he'll always be known for and that video is out there forever.
Its highly likely she's received dozens of beatings in her childhood, the mother was likely beaten regularly for sure. Many of us old school guys,especially European have felt the wrath of a backhand or wooden spoon from our mothers growing up. Its the psychological abuse that will last a really long long time.
