Although her opposition to 50 Shades makes her appear such a clown that she could be turned into a target and symbol of fussy, repressive political correctness quite easily. The more she opens her mouth, the more ludicrous she appears.
I saw the movie Saturday night with my Valentine's date. Many younger people there, and women on girls night out.
Then I later saw Joy Smith's blurb that 50 Shades promotes violence against women in a CP24 banner.
Joy Smith is a Bible-thumping, morality-legislating, right-wing man hater who doesn't deserve to be a politician in a secular and pluralistic society such as Canada.
The federal Cons are not progressive Conservatives but Reformers.
If Jian Ghomeshi followed the advice of his lawyer as Christian Grey does, he wouldn't have to argue so hard that what he did was consensual. (IOW, clear and express consent is promoted, not unilateral violence).
Joy Smith's bedroom world view is vanilla, prudish and boring with no excitement or exploration allowed. She wishes to impose it on others. (Go fuck yourself).

Unreal. Does she not have anything better to do? I would imagine most MPs have more pressing issues in there constituency then worrying about films they have never seen but that they really don't like.
