John Carter Cash, 44, son of the late singer Johnny Cash, was arrested at the Deer Lake airport Monday afternoon for disturbing the peace and being drunk in public.
The RCMP said officers were called to the airport about 2:10 p.m. Monday to a report of a man at the terminal who had taken his clothes off and was in only his underwear.
It was reported that he was either drunk or had medical issues.
On arrival, officers spoke with security and learned that security had convinced the accused to put his clothing back on, but that he was indeed drunk.
The accused had missed his flight. He had been on his way home after a hunting excursion in the province.
Cash is to be released when sober and will catch a flight home to Tennessee Tuesday morning.
Charges are not being laid as Cash was co-operative and has no previous criminal record. Very few people witnessed the event, according to security.
