But Tromb, what about his cock?? You mean you dont know anything about his cock? I mean, after all he IS a young hockey player you know.......
But Jimmy, what about formulating your own argument about the topic at hand, so you don't look like an immature poster in this thread?

I understand that you simply aren't capable enough to formulate a strong argument, so you have to talk about Tavares' cock. Great job.

Sounds as if you're a bit bi curious. It's perfectly fine if you want to experience a cock. The bi curious are people, too.

3 points off. Was Spezza not granted the same status as Tavares was so he could enter the league as a 15 year old?

Fair enough on this point. Point is he was still getting all the groupies just as erect as Tavares is.

Yes, please tell me who played on Mike Cammalleri's line during his peewee year with the Toronto Red Wings.

And you know this how?

How do I know you're not some creepy fan who just checks over the internet for stats? Exactly, I don't

Anytime you want to battle in person, I'm game. That's the only way either one of us can't cheat.

Wow. You're great at stating the obvious.

Yes, and I also explained why they would beat them, and I was right. If you're gonna say I don't know anything based on a prediction, then you're essentially sayiing nobody knows anything, because guess what, everyone gets predictions wrong.

So, the challenge is open to you - If you're ever at a terb party that I'm at, I have no problem challenging you to a junior hockey knowledge quiz.
1. Spezza was NOT granted the same status as Tavares. Back then a player could play in the OHL for his hometown team prior to being draft eligible. Spezza went to Brampton, Fata played for Soo before London drafted him, Keith Gretzy played for Brantford before he was drafted. Those are some very obvious ones and there may be more. IIRC Daniel Cleary also played for Belleville as a 15 year old after moving to that part of Ontario from the Rock. There was no 'special-status' rule in affect. You can look it up.

2. I don't understand your '3 point off' statement on Spezza??? My question to you was who was the last 15 year old to score 45 and you said, incorrectly, Spezza and Fata. I told you how many Spezza scored and he was no where near 45 at the same age as Tavares.

3. As for Mike Cammalleri's linemates as a pee wee, now you are just being ridiculous, grasping at anything to make yourself look smart. I can ask you who was Bobby Orr's first roommate in Oshawa, or who the other Brantford phenom was, what was the Hamilton Forum known as and look just as clever as you. I don't watch pee wee hockey, but it concerns me that you do after reading your numerous comments on the size of young boys' genitalia. Graham James would have loved you.

4. When you see 75-80 junior games a year from west coast to east coast and can go back to the 1960's with names and teams, players and stats, have a house full of scrapbooks, programs from games I have been to, seen well over a dozen Memorial Cups in person, seen many star NHL players as juniors including Bobby Orr, went to the old Marlie-St Mikes doubleheaders in the 60's, been in MLG when Marlies used to pack the stands, been in just about every rink in the OHL ...... then maybe we can compete on an even level.

I asked you the Cammalleri question because it's something you can't look up.

Once again, I challenge you to a junior hockey knowledge quiz in person. Anyone can look up facts and stats on the internet, so who knows just how much you truly know.

I'm sure you can blow me out of the water in regards to what happend decades ago, but anything from Lindros' entry into the OHL and I'm game.

Hey, I give credit where credit is due. You do seem to know a thing or two and anyone who shares my passion for junior hockey can't be all that bad.

By no means am I an expert, far from it. But I have just been around junior hockey for a long time, had family who played junior hockey, am a packrat who keeps everything he gets at a hockey game including programs, lineup sheets, even paper cups if it has the name of a rink on it. I even knew someone who would get me copies of media game notes from one of the rinks. Anything I could get my hands on, I would take it. I remember skipping high school classes with buddies so we could go to watch our junior team play an out of town game while our parents thought we were studying late in the libraries. I was fortunate enough to be brought up in a house where older siblings made scrapbooks, many that I still have, so I have tons and tons of stories along with memories of being at games all across the country. I also have a circle of buddies who I spend hours with in bars talking trivia so this kind of thing is truly a passion of mine.

I don't mean to insult your intelligence or knowledge of the game. I just get defensive sometimes. :p

As for your question on Camilleri's linemates as a pee wee. Well I know I have heard it before and I may even have a picture of the team. During the World Juniors, when he played for Canada, I am pretty sure they made reference to some of his minor hockey teammates. The Canadian Hockey Magazines you get at junior games sometimes have minor hockey team pictures from pee wees, bantams, midgets. I have a stack of pictures that I have taken and kept in binders. I may not have seen his linemates but if I dig up the pictures I may find them.

My guess is he played with either Toronto Red Wings or Marlies?

Completely understand.

I know how passionate people can get when debating about hockey.

You seem like a very passionate junior hockey fan, and that I can totally appreciate that.Like I'm sure you've encoutered before, sometimes these debates can get a bit heated.

I always enjoyed junior (and even AAA minor hockey) much more than the NHL because I find it much more fun seeing the next wave of stars coming up, as opposed to when they're in the NHL and not knowing anything about their past.

As far as Cammalleri goes, he played his peewee hockey with the Red Wings, on what was one of the most incredible peewee teams I have ever seen. That team won the Bell Challenge Cup, Quebec Peewee Tourney, All Ontario's, Christie Cup, and everything else they entered. I'm not sure who his linemates were, but Brad Boyes and Mark Philipovic played on the Young Nats team that lost to the Red Wings in the City Finals.

The Best Peewee team I have ever seen though would be Druhzba '78 out of the Ukraine. They had Andrei Zuzin, Dainus Zubrus and a host of others that were drafted into the NHL. After they won the Quebec Peewee tourney they toured across Toronto beating up on the best AAA peewee teams in the GTA. Kinda had an unfair advantage, seeing as they were a sports school that trained together everyday since they were 9, but a more incredible group of 12-13 year olds I have never seen.

If you ever want to check out some great minor hockey tourneys, the Bell Challenge Cup (remember seeing Bryan Berard win the MVP of this when his Mass. Bay Chiefs beat the Marlies in the final) and the Marlie Christmas tourney at Westwood are a hockey fans dream.

Yes I know there are a ton of great tournaments in the area. Unfortunately, I never make it down for them. The last minor hockey tourney I remember seeing was in Hamilton and Mike Peca was on one of the bantam teams.

What I like is having old junior programs and team pictures then years later looking at them after some of the players had gone on to pro careers. Like I was saying, I have pages and pages from old Junior Hockey magazines with minor hockey team champions pictures. I can always pick out a few kids who went on to play junior then to the NHL. I am also an ebay dealer and often list copies of some of these photos. One guy from out west saw a picture I had from an old bantam team that he played for. He contacted me and wanted the picture. Too much.

Then you must see Don Cherry at some of these tournaments? I had many a good chat with him when he first was with the Ice Dogs. I used to stand/sit in the corner near where you went up the stairs to get up to the press box. He would often walk past me on his way up and I would usually have some picture or clipping to show to him. Awesome.

Yeah, it's always fun at looking at old tournament programs and looking for the players that went on to pro hockey.

Don Cherry is usually at the Bell Challenge Cup final and consolation game, but he's usually surrounded by youngsters wanting an autograph, so I never really did talk to him.

I remember running into Mike Toth at game 7 of the OHA finals between the Thornhill Rattlers and Rasyide-Balfour Sabrecats. He was incredibly nice and we spent most of the game talking about hockey, and at the end of the night he gave me his card and invited me down to watch a live taping of SportsCentral.

I met Mike Toth as well in Dundas at an Sr. 'A' Allen Cup game a few years ago. We stood next to each other pretty much the whole game. He is a good guy to talk hockey with. The game we saw was between a team from Stony Plain Alberta and a Manitoba team with Pat Falloon on it. Toth gets around, you can catch him at a lot of St.Mike's games.

I have programs from Rayside Balfour when they were the Canadiens. They had a guy who had a brief NHL career named Troy Mallette who was also a high draft pick of Ottawa 67's. Funny you mention Thornhill Rattlers, I just sold one of their hockey jackets that I picked up at a thrift store.

OHL: Tavares has seven-point night

http://www.tsn.ca/chl/news_story/?ID=193624&hubname

Brad Selwood didn't even bat an eye after watching phenom John Tavares dismantle the Windsor Spitfires on Thursday night.

Tavares scored four goals, boosting his season total to 50, and added three assists to lead the Oshawa Generals to a 9-6 road win over the Spitfires. The seven points were a career-high for Tavares, the OHL scoring leader.

"Nothing he does shocks me," said Selwood, the Generals head coach and general manager. "He's a scary dude."

sorry rusty and other critics, i'm with blueline on this...

but also, the only thing that appears with Crosby and not with Tavares is that Syd has a Stanley cup tattooed on his heart. the kid will win at any cost. Tavares looks more skilled, but his youth may shadow his true character for now.

too much speculation on Tavares... he's damn good, but can he hone those skills into an nhl game where he excels at the same degree? no one can tell except time.

but, yeah- he's the best prospect out there for the next few years...

Wha??????

Since you posted the link, you figure you'd get his highest points total correct.

According to the link his most productive season in the OHL was in '00-'01 where he had 86 points.
That`s 43 goals, not points. In `00-`01 he had 116 points, not 86. Wrong again.

Well if Tavares is so damn good how come he couldn't prevent a Stephen Colbert Day from being declared?

Imagine if this guy turned out to be the next Alexander Daigle? Or how about a concussion prone Eric Lindros?
