Okamoto is adjusting to MLB pitching as most Japanese imports do

Upgrade over Bichette in defence and power but less batting average

To expect same results as last year where everybody had career years is too much

injuries are devastating

hovering around 500 until players return is the goal

Scherzer and Hoffman are done, DFA'em, Yesavage will replace Max in rotation makes first start on Tuesday, Varland is the closer!!!! , If I were in charge.
I was at yesterday's game and I watched Jeff Hoffman in his first appearance since being demoted. He came out for the eighth and the fan base seemed pretty quiet. I think everybody wants to see him work his way out of this.... he still seemed to have given up some loud outs and hard contact in my opinion.

...just a sidenote, I'm not too thrilled about Valenzuela, making a sarcastic head gesture on Jeff Hoffman's ball four to that one batter.... maybe if the kid wasn't hitting a buck 10 it wouldn't bother me.

Jays winners of 3 straight series. Yesavage back, Springer back. Barger nearing a return as well. Hopefully the 13 dudes on the IL, turns to 10 ... 8 ... 5 ... 3 ... And we can really start rolling again.

Okamoto seems to be getting more and more comfortable at the plate, which could lead him to protecting Vlad in the 4-spot. And Clement staying hot, and moving up the line up was the right move - get them on, get them over and knock them in. Without a lot of big boppers on this team, we need to continue to string those hits and walks together. Our starting pitching is good enough to keep them in almost any game.

The AL is bad so far this year... getting crushed in interleague games against the NL... final wildcard team is one game below .500 as of now.

Looks like it could year that an 82-85 win team will get a wildcard spot. With the various hits the team has had it could be a year of let's just get in and see what happens.

NY mets have a $383 million payroll (2nd in MLB) and the worst record in baseball at 11-22.
