So, assuming you don't have insurance, I suppose you're going to tell me you've got $150,000-$200,000 lying around and it would put absolutely no financial dent in you whatsoever.

Give your fucking head a shake.

Either you're trying to be contrarian or you're just plain pig-ignorant. I'll go 20-80 on that one.
Private Health Care for a family of 3/4 would not cost anything close to 150-200 K a year

And yes, I do have 150-200 k lying around and so much more.

My taxes pays for everybody’s Health Care because I barely use it.

It's easy to be a big talking radical when it's an anonymous board. Off the board, he's probably afraid of his shadow.
Why the tough guy talk…you’re the one talking tough on an anonymous board, I wasn’t .

For fuck's sake, Gretzky could make this all blow away by coming forth and making a public statement to clear the air if there was a misunderstanding, but instead he lets Donald Trump and his wife do the talking for him.

He's behaving like a total pussy and a coward.

I'm not even saying he has to apologise; maybe there's a gross misunderstanding here and he's right and we are all wrong.

But his silence is absolutely deafening.

This isn't the "liberal media" making Gretzky look bad, it's his own fucking actions that are making him look bad.
What misunderstanding? He's friends with the guy and is catching flack for it by the woke media.

So now you are saying that speaking up for your country is woke. Pathetic.

He is not catching flak for his choice of friends. He is catching flak for not speaking up for his country even when that friend is threatening it.

It says a lot about you if you can't tell the difference.

There also seems to be a Trump Amnesia Syndrome at play. Lest we forget that Bobby Orr, player agent, is a long time member of the Trump fan club. It’s no wonder he’s defending poor little Wayne. They’re both rich fucks who see Trump as good for their personal bottom line, and don’t seem to care about the consequences for anyone else, let alone their Home and Native Land.

Here’s a little nugget from way back in 2020. Ahhh simpler times.

They should make Alan Eagleson the next honourary captain of Team Canada just to piss off Orr.

How is the $8 a month working for you. I wouldn’t pay 8 cents. But of course old left wing broads are a real turnoff.

Holy fuck! What a silly thread.

Hard to believe that people are willing to write someone off simply because of their political views.

Gretzky has been an excellent ambassador for the game of hockey and is respected among his peers world wide.

When he was traded to the Kings, he introduced the sport to millions of new fans and helped build a strong base of talent per the USA national program.

As popular as he became, he has avoided the negative spotlight and behaved as a model citizen.

For someone who has given as much back to the game as he has received, his political views are a nothing burger.

No it's a stupid person thing. Playing professional hockey at age 16 Gretzky obviously had a meagre education.

And as trump has told us, "We love the poorly educated."

It's a fact that people of lower intelligence are more easily manipulated. Dictators exploit that.

....until now.

IMO, his incredible hockey career is a different issue than his non-playing life. Please note, I don't support all the "traitor/take away his citizenship blah, blah" rhetoric. But I do believe that he handled this all very poorly especially in light of trump's comments about Canada. It's not a good look for him.

He should have known better.

Just because someone has a lot of education, does not necessarily mean that they are more intelligent. What they studied, and when, matters a lot. A University education today largely means being force-fed 'progressive' ideologies which are largely based on beliefs, rather than facts. I wonder how many graduates with a degree in Women's Studies are currently employed as sales clerks in remaindered book stores.
