jailbreak an Iphone ...do or don't?

Hey... was curious how many have Jailbroke their Iphone. and if they had issues after doing it?.Did a bad Jailbreak warranted reloading the software.
Further Is Pacific Mall the best place to go to get you Iphone software reloaded (i'm not a Iphone owner just doing research)

I have mine jail broken and unlocked, needed to as I had it before it was here in Canada. Only issue I have had is that is dam addictive...lol. The S.O. gets pissed off as I spend any free time I have on it. As far a pacific mall goes I really don't know what they charge but can tell you that is a rip off. If you really want to jailbreak and iPhone or a iPod touch it free if you seach online, there are step by step instructions out there that even I have used so I suggest to save the 20 or 30 bucks they charge and put it towards that next sp that you want to see. I you would like I can direct you to the right places as I have done enough research on this topic, just pm me and I'll help u out. Also I found craigslist to have some good deals on these phone. Hope this helps.

cool...much appreciate it. Reason i ask is ..friend of mine had jailbroken their IPhone and a few bugs seemed to plague them. but to add to the mess .. Some option of hiding the access buttons on screen as trial ended up as being more permanent and was unable to restore to default or reverse it . Jailbreak voids warranty so Rogers/Fido says "its not their problem" In worst case scenario ...Is there someone able to reload/reinstall the firmware/software?

Yes use can reload the original software and run it normal again (unjailbroken). The is a trick to it you need to put your phone in "dfu" mode and restore it in itune there are step by step instructions for that as well, and I do speak from experience as I had messed up mine twice and needed to do this in order for it to work again. On a side note don't forget once your phone is jailbroken you can get an app to download all the apps at the apps store for free, I have over five pages of apps which were all for free!!!!

I have put my phone into dfu mode and followed the itunes steps it completes till about halfway in the restore,then error occurs, i have done this numerous times and still error pops up,I have jailbroken my iphone and used boss prefs and poof all my icons,so all thats on my screen is my phone and texting, poofed the boss prefs too "stupid " !, I cant seem to get my phone back to normal in anyway! if anyone has any other stragedys let me know thanks
