I've never met a Taylor Swift fan in my life.

Safe to say you like Taylor?
We are discussing logistics. As I said above I'm just generally happy for fans and people to have a good time. I don't see the point of shitting on it. Same for street festival closures, events in parks, sport playoff runs and the like. It's all what create a vibrant and interesting city.

You don't have the right to not be inconvenienced occasionally in a big city.

Blue Jay's 1989-1993. You would see 7 days + straight on a home stand.
I don't think it lasted 7 days and certainly not like this. Taylor is a "global star", the World Series and the Jays were big, but I don't know if you can compare the two. They've had to plan one week for over a year with the (p)Sycho Swifties.

Dude. They literally sold out 81 games a year. For 4 years 50,000 came down to watch games. Every game. I know, I went to them with family season tickets. A homestand would last longer than two sets of 3 days. Sometimes 10 in a row.

It's just another day.

I'm saying you cant compare traffic from 1990's to now
Sure. But for this one it ain't just locals. Tons of out of towners in hotels too. And ya traffic is shitty. GO is maxing trains, TTC running full blast, no doubt many parents are parked downtown early for this one.

But we saw worse during the G20. And numerous other events. Raptors playoff run, 2015 Jays run, other events.

Wait until the World cup.

The city can easily handle it. It handled 500,000 at the SARS concert at downsview.

This is not that big a deal logistics wise.

So what? They moved their for the peace and quiet?
They moved there to live. Phil C. brings up a great point, the amount of condos there today compared to the early 90s? No comparison at all.

Look at the landscape comparison.
The police and city didn't have to plan road closures and redirecting traffic, along with the TTC and MetroLinx didn't even exist until 15 years later.

To Phil C.'s point.
1992
I have to say though, we had the most ridiculous clubbing district and nightlife in North America, fuck me there were clubs on every corner and the girls were incredible.

They moved there to live in a vibrant and busy downtown. If they were looking for the quiet life they are stupid. It's the 3rd largest city in North America now. Cities grow, change and people have to adapt.

I'm just laughing at all the pearl clutching going on.

I mean what's the worst that can happen? Roving gangs of pre teens girls singing and assaulting people with friendship bracelets?
Really are like a Trump supporter, you win and still gloating. Guess that’s all you got in life bud.

I met a man over 79 that knew every TS song.

I find TS to be a bully.

Reading some of those comments, wow. 😮
Wouldn't be surprising, I never liked her from day one, just like Diddy. Her father reminds me of my Uncle-in-law, little beady eyed shit that would throw you under the bus if there was something to gain from it.

She manipulated Tom hiddleston into falling in love with her, broke up with him, wrote a song bragging about how she never loved him, and encouraged her fans to attack him online.
He removed all social media and has not been publocly affectionate with any other partners since then.
Even with his wife, he is careful not to appear publicly affectionate. He is a very rare, decent man, and she ruined him for a song.

I guess Taylor Swift has become this generations' The Beatles. In my day it was Michael Jackson. Wow has pop culture fallen off a cliff or what 😞
