I think the most connected person to Kawhai's camp is Chris Carter. On his show ( First Things First) this morning Chris announces that anyone who believes the Lakers are the favourite to sign Kawhai is wrong. He also believes the announcement will come either today or Friday July 5 2019 in favor of the Raptors!!!!!!!

What Jalen said made sense. He said that his career was in disarray when he got traded. He said the Raptors believed in him, his management was not about load, it was about recovery. I can forgive him for allowing Kobe to drop 81 points on his ass.
And Kawhi has an extra incentive for signing with the Raptors - OG will be healthy. He played his best games when Fun Guy was on load management. With OG in the line up, Kawhi wont have to log excessive minutes if he plays more than 60 games. It's all peaches in wine for Fun Guy, he gets paid and looked after at the same time. Why would he leave?

One more year and Gasol, Ibaka Green and Lowry get older into their 30s...no different than some of those old bodies in Golden State. I wonder if Kawhi was asking Ujiri how he plans to make the team better in his meeting?
As for support, we do have OG, and I like Malcolm Miller and Patrick MacCaw, but we'd have to get lucky that they are healthy and one or two of them make a leap in production.
