north of the GTA
Ricci makes a great veal "sangwich", Langstaff and Weston rd in Vaughan. Better than california sandwiches. Very generous with the meat and good toppings too.

Ok, lets get this straight, it's sanguich not sangwich. When you spell it incorrectly it makes you look like a bunch of Angelo wannabes.

You can't go wrong with Remo's but lately the quality at Canosa's (27 - Royalcrest) has improved. Last week I suggested they make bacala for fishy Friday's, then the Hydro moocs got there and ate it all before I arrived. So I had a salsice with sauteed onions and peppers. The cook is frustrated, she wants my salsice but I wont let her have it. So she slices the sanguich part of the way and it falls apart when I go to eat it. It was saprito all the same.

Btw the Thursday special at Canosa is porcetta (roast pork alla Romano), a very tasty sanguich IMHO, and you wont find better anywhere.
