I was reading the thread above on Studio 9 and I found the debate about sangwiches from Commisso`s vs. California interesting and distracting...there`s nothing better than an awesome Italian bakery with a lunch table for sangwiches, pasta, pizza, etc.
1. By a huge margin, my favorite place is San Remo`s on Royal York south of Evans Ave. High quality sangwiches, pasta, salads, and delicious homemade pizza. This place is excellent for traditional bakery items, too.
2. For quality of food, there are several places in Vaughan in the area of Edgeley/Pennsylvania that are excellent, although I have found prices to be a little steep at times.
3. When i`m in the Brampton area, i`ll usually stop at a place at the N/E corner of Torbram & Queen St. Good amount of food at a decent price, but not in the same league as San Remo`s.
What are some other favorites in and around the city?
