Israel isn't defending itself. Right now, they are collectively punishing Palestinians and possibly grabbing some real estate. Their defence ended Oct 7.

BTW did you watch the video of Bibi I linked yesterday? Do you really think he cares or will stop because of the US based on that?
Yes they are. Imagine if the Palestinians had been good neighbors there might be a trade pact instead of this.

All this whining reminds me of when the Tamil Tigers were on their last legs. That's why its seems so desperate. The protestors know how bad Hamas fucked up, know there is no going back, and is hoping an outside force will stop it.

Notice how lots of words but not a single soldier, ship, plane or other military option is travelling to assist them? The world is going to let this happen.

How does it feel to know the Palestinians are regarded with such indifference?

It’s not really a choice, though, is it? How would other nations get soldiers, aid, or anything else into Gaza at this point?

Well lets see, Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon share borders with Israel.

Seriously though its been a month+ . If they wanted to help they would have. Best that has occured is a few rockets and skirmishes from Lebanon and Yemen(Iran backed forces)

Yes…with Israel. Not Gaza.

None of those countries wish to start a war with Isreal…especially with a couple of US air craft carrier fleets anchored nearby.

Regarding the skirmishes, I believe they are ongoing with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon…but I think the US presence has deterred a broader escalation.

Frankie you can believe whatever you wish but you are wrong. I do not have any skin in the game. I do not have any Arab blood or Jewish blood in me, I only look at it as an outsider and what I see is Gaza under Hamas presenting itself as a threat and I would not feel safe in Israel knowing I have neighbors that want to hurt and kill me.

At this point, because I am not like you and want to spend every minute in this thread I will say no more for now. I'll pop in again when I'm bored but for now, I rather rag on Trump and decide on who I'm going to stick little Squeezie into this weekend.
Its really interesting and sad to watch people who are generally moderate and sensible change on this one subject.
Check through the thread if you like to confirm, but you and Mandrill post like mitch or phil on this subject. The both of you normally can debate issues quite reasonably but here you switch to the debating tactics of the hard core right wingers. You post a claim and when its countered with documented sources and evidence you immediately just switch to a new and more extreme claim. That's challenged and you again don't back up your claims but then switch to a new one.

Its like Mandrill's ridiculous claim that all along Hamas' goal was to get Israel to commit genocide.

You did it repeatedly in the previous page of this repeatedly here.

And if you want to argue that your claims aren't racist then join the majority of Canadians who just call for a ceasefire and the law to be upheld on both sides. Its not hard.

Those countries already hated Israel.

How long will that take, and in that time how many more Gazans would die? You support that?

If you are so concerned about saving Gazan lives, which you clearly don't, you would call for Hamas to surrender and give up the hostages and in the meantime the world can still take whatever action they want. It's a win:win:win:lose.

Gazans win by stopping their suffering immediately. The hostages win by getting released. The world wins by stopping a war that can keep growing into a larger regional conflict and be able to take these actions against Israel.

THE ONLY LOSER IS HAMAS, who even you said is a terrorist organization and should be tried for war crimes at the ICC. I guess you could be considered a loser since you're virtually an honourable member as well.

My course of action makes much more sense. You course of action makes much more spilled blood. It's undeniable.
Your course of action is for Palestinians to submit to genocide, apartheid and ongoing settlement of the last bits of Palestine.
It will never lead to peace, just more hatred for zionists that will translate into more antisemitism by the idiots who conflate the two. Like you.

This is what you want to happen.
To every Palestinian.

So you are justifying hate crimes against Jews. There's a word for someone like that.
Stop with the antisemitic tropes, shack. Your racism is disgusting.
You must learn to separate zionists from the sane Jews, the evil racist Nazi types from the ones with moral courage.

Even Israelis are against Netanyahu and his refusal to negotiate with Hamas to return the hostages.
