University of Maryland Palestinian rally under investigation after apparent calls for ‘Holocaust 2.0’

A pro-Palestinian rally at The University of Maryland is under investigation by the school and Maryland law enforcement after students claimed the demonstration turned "antisemitic."

Students spoke out against a Students for Justice in Palestine rally held on campus, Thursday, accusing it of antisemitic messages. Witnesses of the event told a local outlet that messages like "Holocaust 2.0" were written in chalk on campus walkways near where the rally was held.

The event led one student to fear for her safety. "Now that I know what some people on this campus think, I don't feel as safe walking around. Especially alone and especially at night," the student told a CBS affiliate.

The pro-Palestinian group that put on the rally says its mission is to "work in solidarity with the Palestinian people's struggle for human rights." An Instagram post advertising the rally called on students to "Walk out and sit in at Hornbake Plaza in calling for a ceasefire and reiterating our demands to the University of Maryland administration!!!"

"Bring flags, kuffiyahs, and chalk!!" the post added.

It also implored students to "Stand on the right side of history AGAINST GENOCIDE #ceasefirenow."

University of Maryland staff acknowledged the "hateful" and "antisemitic" turn the rally took Thursday and declared that an investigation into the incident was underway.

Apparently he got suspended and his classes cancelled

A university spokesperson said a course taught by Yanise Arab was cancelled Thursday as a preventive measure. On Friday afternoon, the school confirmed that Arab had been suspended.

“The lecturer received this morning a notice of suspension with pay for the duration of the investigation,” spokeswoman Genevieve O’Meara said in an interview.

She said the school was evaluating whether the class he taught would continue with another instructor for the rest of the session or not take place.

In a brief video circulating online, a man in a yellow hoodie, later identified as Arab, can be seen yelling “go back to Poland!” followed by another insult during an altercation between pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian groups at Montreal’s Concordia University.

Jew haters all over the place. Its about time universities start shutting down these Islamofascists

Columbia University suspends anti-Israel groups SJP, JVP for violating school policies

Columbia University is suspending two anti-Israel groups — Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) — as official student groups through the end of the fall semester, the school’s senior executive vice president Gerald Rosberg announces in a statement.

“This decision was made after the two groups repeatedly violated university policies related to holding campus events, culminating in an unauthorized event Thursday afternoon that proceeded despite warnings and included threatening rhetoric and intimidation,” Rosberg says.

The two groups will not be eligible to hold events on campus or receive university funding, Rosberg explains.

“Lifting the suspension will be contingent on the two groups demonstrating a commitment to compliance with university policies and engaging in consultations at a group leadership level with university officials,” he says.

“Like all student groups, SJP and JVP are required to abide by university policies and procedures. This ensures both the safety of our community and that core University activities can be conducted without disruption.”

“During this especially charged time on our campus, we are strongly committed to giving space to student groups to participate in debate, advocacy, and protest. This relies on community members abiding by the rules and cooperating with University administrators who have a duty to ensure the safety of everyone in our community,” the university official adds.

The man who led a street full of cheering Montrealers in prayer to 'kill them all'

Adil Charkaoui has been linked via allegations and investigations to extremist groups ranging from al-Qaeda to ISIS

A man on a balcony in a Canadian downtown takes a microphone and leads a public prayer for the violent eradication of the “Zionist aggressors.” “Allah, count every one of them, and kill them all, and do not exempt even one of them,” he says in Arabic. Below him, a crowd of hundreds respond with cheers.

The speaker was Montreal Imam Adil Charkaoui, and the venue was the city’s Oct. 28 “Stop the Genocide in Gaza” rally — one of dozens of Canadian events organized over the last 30 days by the Palestinian Youth Movement, a group that has openly praised the Oct. 7 massacres and called for continued violence against Israel.

Charkaoui’s speech may very well have been overlooked entirely if he hadn’t posted it online himself. He posted it (from multiple angles) to his Twitter, Instagram and Facebook profiles — along with lengthy screeds calling for the violent destruction of Israel, and denouncing Western media and politicians as Zionist collaborators.

You can keep claiming that...it doesn't make it true...Hamas killing civilians, point blank...killing babies with bare hands, beheading a person using a garden hoe....those are what you defend...barbarism and terrorism...
and by the way....what's up with the hostages?
Its still true, rich.
Keep denying it but you're now hanging with the new Nazis.

And don't start talking dead babies, there are 5,000 dead Palestinian children that you really don't want to see.
Though you should, you should be haunted by their screams for ever.

So then in your opinion, Hamas was justified on Oct. 7? This must be your opinion because you do not want them to release all the hostages and surrender so then, you support Hamas and encourage them to keep on fighting??
Hamas was not justified in attacking civilians on Oct 7 or any other day, neither is Israel.
Its a war crime when anyone does it.

Legally, according to the UN, Palestinians have the right to self defence against an illegal occupation while Israel, the occupying power, does not have the legal right to self defence. That is the law.

So either you're back war crimes with this self defence claim our you're just not informed.

Latest discussion from journos on the ground says that the IDF has closed in around the hospital. HAMAS has a human shield of trapped civilians and is not letting them leave before the IDF starts shelling.

Situation still in flux.
Latest I've read is that there are no Hamas at any hospitals, unless they are injured and being treated.

The US' foreign policy is now officially that of war criminals.
Genocide Joe is fully complicit.

It has been proven time and again...everytime hamas get a hold of some weapon they think will inflict damage to Israel they won't hesitate to use it...no matter how you twist and turn...hamas ideology won't change...they want the genocide of all the jews...and uou blatantly support it.. it's not a secret here Franky...that's your wet dream...I don't want any dead Palestinians...only dead hamas members....

Palestinian protesters attack MPs and senators in Ottawa

'I felt very, very unsafe': Top Conservative says senators, MPs 'under attack' by pro-Palestinian protesters in Ottawa

'They actually jumped on to my car. They were banging on my windows, they were laying on the hood of my car'.

Pro-Palestinian protesters harassed and attacked MPs and senators as they gathered for a meeting near Parliament Hill this week, the Conservative Party leader in the Senate says.

Senator Don Plett says he was stopped and harassed by “probably 30 or 40” protesters as he drove into a building for the meeting. They blocked traffic and insisted drivers take pamphlets, and targeted him as he attempted to drive around them.

“They actually jumped on to my car. They were banging on my windows, they were laying on the hood of my car and they were trying to prevent me from moving,” Plett told a meeting of the standing committee on internal economy, budgets and administration. “I’m sure I’m on many pictures now on the Gaza Strip or wherever.”

As first reported by Blacklock’s Reporter, Plett raised it at committee as a safety issue for parliamentarians, saying security has declined during his 13 years on the Hill.

“There was no security around to help and I felt very, very unsafe.

“I then went into my Manitoba meeting and (Winnipeg Conservative MP) Marty Morantz, who is of Jewish descent, had been walking there and of course he felt more unsafe than I had and later we heard at our meetings that there were probably a dozen members of the House that had also been under attack.”

“And when they had asked PPS (Parliamentary Protective Service) over at the House why they weren’t being given any help the answer was, we don’t have enough staff. They seemed to have enough staff to stop all the hot tub parties and barbecues when we had some friendly protesters here and now they don’t have enough staff when many of us feel very unsafe.”

I'm a pragmatist and realist. If Canada and the U.S. or any western nation were to isolate Israel, Israel will get the weapons to defend itself from Russia, the PRC and/or North Korea and/or develop their own weapons. All the wokies and lefties will have succeeded is drive Israel into the Russia/China/North Korea orbit.

In that scenario I doubt the lives of Palestinians and gays would be better off and more likely worse off. Reality always triumphs.
