Those 3 Bangladeshi Muslim girls who left England to join ISIS were all A students at their English school. Go figure.

At least give partial vouchers to those who wish to opt out

Many families could throw in a couple thousand to top up private costs but cannot afford to pay the full costs, after all they would be paying twice for an education, once through taxes then again through tuition
Can we assume you voted for John Tory when he lead the Progressive Conservatives? It was his platform, and proved quite unpopular.

Educational aspects aside, I don't like the divisive nature of private schools that cater to specific clientele and I don't like the idea of public education funds going to support schools that are private companies (for profit?).
Its not public education funds. Its money taken from citizens through taxes. Using vouchers allows them to get some of their own money back

Last I checked, tax dollars are public funds and when I look at my municipal taxes, it describes an amount specifically for education. Do you also advocate people intentionally hurting themselves to get some of the public health care dollars back?

I would advocate that people who take care of themselves and don't burden the public health care system should get some of their tax money back.

Should people who walk to work get their tax dollars back for the road maintenance and public transit they don't use? Should people who don't call the police and handle their own security get money back? Should people in small towns get back all the money spent on cities? Maybe people who don't work for the government should get those tax dollars too.

Seems what you are advocating for is the dissolution of the government (or at least that they only spend public money on things that help you).

Silly me, I thought taking good care of your health is a good idea and should be rewarded.

Did you know that some people are saying smokers shouldn't get lung transplants and alcoholics shouldn't get liver transplants? Silly, eh?

Great concept! But before we can hand out prizes for being ordinarily good, we need to have the funds to do the good, ordinary stuff. Like keep our roads, sewers and water systems up to date (failing in all three so far) as well as frills like policing, education, healthcare and keeping the poor off the streets. Our current federal government could only manage it (after eight years of trying) by extortionate measures like shortchanging veterans. But you did get your/our money back if you procreated.

Thanks to the vets, who didn't get theirs. Asking for government handouts is all very well, but even deserving folks like you must realize the you gotta collect enough money first.
