He's an asshole sometimes, but I think he even admitted that. That doesn't mean all his ideas are bad. I heard a few things I liked...but then he'd say something like he'd build a giant fence along the Mexican border and get Mexico to pay for it and you wonder if he's all there in the head.

:thumb: This guys a pure narcissist. Every second word out of his mouth is about suing someone. Do you really want a nut like this running your country?

Actually, I never saw the insult in that statement. He's basically saying that Orientals are hard working. (I know some people say that the word "Oriental" is offensive, but many Asians say that it is not offensive. In Hamilton where I grew up, I remember that there were social organizations for Japanese people that were actually labelled "Oriental".

Anyway, I don't think he meant it to be insulting. I really don't.
Then he should have just said that Orientals are hard working and not said "like dogs."

What are the repercussions and consequences of cutting of the influx of illegal Mexican workers on certain sectors of the American economy like construction and agriculture? Would forcing Americans who are on welfare to work fill the void created by Trump's scheme?

It depends on the person. I'm sure some Asians don't mind Oriental, but some do.

The funny thing is when someone is NOT of a specific ethnicity, but chimes in with political correctness, when that minority individual or group doesn't mind themselves. It's as if the minority person or group can't think for themselves, but needs the "white man" to make decisions for them and show them the way of what is right and wrong.

Pretty farcical stuff.

I believe the Japanese are especially insulted by this term Oriental. As confessed to me by a very close Japanese friend of mine back in Montreal.

LOL. I don't remember any exact quotes off the top of my head, but my buddy loves to make fun of anything to do with Asian people's eyes. The way he tell jokes and laughs, I bet he gets a bigger laugh out of it than KKK people.

Trumps comments are so unpolitically correct one must wonder why he would say them in the first place
But facts are facts and the percentages certain ethnicities comprise of prison populations speak for themselves

Last year I watched a Japanese lady fried seeth with rage after being asked if she was a Philipina. A few months latter when she come back from Cuba tanned I told her she actually did look like a Philipina, nothing wrong with that. A Cantonese lady told me she meet Trump and posed for some pics with him in Florida at one if his casinos and she says Trump definitely does not have yellow fever.

Could it be that Trump himself does not think he will ever get close to the White House and this is all a ploy in self promotion and to up his own popularity?

Trump getting pranked by fake Gorby

That's not really fair. He has a duty to his business interests to be competitive and make money. He's playing by the rules set by America's leaders. That doesn't make him a hypocrite.

Think of it this way: Warren Buffet is advocating for higher taxes on the rich. Those who oppose that call him a hypocrite because "nothing is holding him back from paying higher taxes." That's bullshit. He wants a rule change, same as Trump. One person paying higher taxes, or one person boycotting China, isn't going to have a noticeable, positive impact. But leveling that playing field for everyone will.

Actually he felt that strongly about it he could take a short term loss by manufacturing domestically and leverage his position as "Made in the USA" proponent to distinguish himself from his competitors. American Apparel has successfully done just that.

But in Trump's case he just whores out his name to a third party and likely doesn't give a shit what they sell, where it's made, or if it's of any decent quality.

That is his business model in office buildings, condos, hotels, clothing line and TV shows. He has little to do with the projects except for promotion.
