Hell, the biggest landslides in US Presidential history were only around the 60% mark.
Say someone had 90% support from the people but was 30 years old - do you feel that the US should ignore its Constitution in that case and make them President?
There is certainly an argument to be made there, but I doubt we will ever see those numbers.
You can theoretically win the presidency with about 23% of the vote; do you think that someone who has 77% of the vote should just be put in despite the rules?

Yes, people can be arrested and convicted of felonies and still be POTUS.
No one has ever done it before, but it is perfectly Constitutional.
Now, are there states where they have ballot access laws that address this? I don't know.
Probably not, because it isn't something that comes up often.
If someone is convicted of the federal crime of insurrection, they cannot hold office.
This is actually listed as a punishment for that specific federal crime.
This is separate from the 14th amendment (although some people think it shouldn't be) since the people who have been barred under the 14th amendment in the past were not convicted of that crime.
This probably has to do with the Constitutional amendment saying "shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof ", which obviously implies you don't have to have committed the crime itself.
Of course my opinion isn't the only one.
