Is that the pilot?
Seems like she was a multi-faceted talented person.
Sad she lost her life like this.
You are 100% correct. It is extremely sad that many people lost their lives.

Since this is a DEI (didn't earn it) thread...

Rebecca Lobach, the female pilot of the Army Black Hawk helicopter that crashed into the American Airlines plane in Washington DC, had a long history of political activism. She was working as a social aide in the Biden White House and in January she escorted Ralph Lauren to Joe Biden's politically motivated Presidential Medal of Freedom ceremony. That was the same ceremony where Biden outrageously awarded Hillary Clinton and George Soros with Presidential Medal of Freedom awards.

Lobach just graduated from the ROTC in 2019 yet she was already a Captian in the Army and piloting a Black Hawk helipcopter in one of busiest airspaces in the United States. Reports from the military claim she had a total of 500 hours of flying time which is not that much flying time to be piloting a Black Hawk helicopter in the Washington DC airspace that is overcrowded with air traffic.

A 2015 posted article by Sewanee University published a statement about Lobach and why she was at the school and what her goals were. Nothing in the statement reflected a commitment to the military. It was solely focused on political activism. In fact, her Major/Minor was listed as Biology/Political Science.

So proud of Rebecca Lobach! Looking forward to all the ways she'll represent our university!

"Why I ran for SGA: It's an exciting time to be a student here!
The actions of our Student Government play an essential role in our student experience and I was hoping to have the opportunity to become involved in that role. Specifically, I wanted to have the chance to actively speak for my class and to connect that voice into both the evolving and upholding of Sewanee's traditions.
One thing I hope to accomplish: I hope to help the SGA become louder on campus. I really appreciate what our Student Government stands for and I want as much of student body as possible to feel included in that.
Most embarrassing movie I love to watch: Freaky Friday. My family watched it religiously when I was growing up...could probably quote the whole thing at gunpoint."

Racism exists EVERYWHERE. It exists the LEAST in America as systemic racism is no longer a thing, like it is in every other country on the planet.
Yes it is everywhere.
And it is quite prevalent both systemically and culturally in the US.
If you want proof, just look at why Trump got elected and the subject of this thread.

Trump Admin Emails Air Traffic Controllers: Quit Your Jobs
FAA embroiled in lawsuit alleging it turned away 1,000 applicants based on race — that contributed to staffing woes

The Federal Aviation Administration is fighting a class-action lawsuit alleging it denied 1,000 would-be air traffic controllers jobs because of diversity hiring targets — as it was revealed that staffing levels were “not normal” at the time of this week’s deadly midair collision.
Complaints about the FAA’s hiring policies resurfaced after the American Airlines passenger plane and a Black Hawk helicopter crashed in Washington, DC, on Wednesday, killing 67 people in the country’s deadliest aviation disaster in almost a quarter-century.
Details of the litigation re-emerged, too, as Andrew Brigida, the lead plaintiff in the suit filed in 2015, suggested the federal aviation agency’s obsession with diversity hiring and inclusion had only ensured that an accident was likely to happen.

The crux of the lawsuit is that the FAA, under the Obama administration, dropped a skill-based system for hiring controllers and replaced it with a “biographical assessment” in an alleged bid to boost the number of minority job applicants.

Brigida, who is white, alleges he was discriminated against solely based on his race when his application was rejected, court papers state.
The would-be air traffic controller, who graduated from Arizona State University’s collegiate training initiative in 2013, was turned down for a job even though he had scored 100% on his training exam, the lawsuit alleges.

Great.
As I said a multi-faceted, talented person.
And I am not a pilot, but apparently based on what I read 500 hours was good experience because helicopter flights are short.
So pilot accumulate less hours.
Anyway not sure what you are expecting to prove by posting this as it does not help your DEI case.
At such a young age she was a pilot, worked in the white house, flew famous people to events etc.,
Looks like she was intelligent, skilled, politically active and talented.

You think Kamala was equally capable than any Democrat that was gonna run for president to replace Biden? That's an example of DEI for you....lol.
You think that DEI applies to candidates of political parties? That is not an example.

You are shooting and missing, big guy! lmao.
I'm simply reposting some information that is still remaining online because the rest of it was scrubbed.

Was she a good pilot who deserved to be in that Blackhawk helicopter? I dunno... time will tell.

However, we are now finding out that she was close to Biden's administration, political activist, LGTBQ+++ etc etc

All of those things are good but unrelated to her flying skills.
She did have 500 hours and she was a trainee on this flight.
So you should be asking why the 39 year old male trainer with more flight hours, who is responsible for ensuring that the aircraft gets out of potential hazards in addition to his instructional duties, failed in his job.
PS: Am not blaming him either. Pilot errors happen. But you should be questioning him more than her if you were being honest.

I'm not saying anything about her skills. I simply don't know if she was good, if she deserved to be where she was etc.

Some people lack the ability to see a big picture. Let me try to paint it:

After the crash happened, Trump blamed it on DEI (I don't agree with this. Shouldn't have done it). So here we are, with DEI agenda in focus.

What do we know now??

Thousands of qualified applicants for traffic control positions have been denied because they didn't fit DEI profile. There's an ongoing litigation against Obama/Biden administration.

Helicopter female pilot's name was withheld for days. Now we're finding out there were reasons for it because she may have been a DEI hire as well.

This accident may have happened to anyone at any given time, but the agenda is out and some pieces fit the bill.

DEI hires are qualified hires.
So even if was true that the air traffic controllers and the female pilot were DEI hires, that says nothing about their qualifications.
Being a DEI hire does not preclude being qualified. They are unrelated.
