Is there anything I can do legally to avoid paying my OSAP loans?

fucking Canadian universities are thieves... Education should be free like some countries in Europe where its free for citizens and foreigners alike.

I have a huge debt from all the years in university lol
I think it's free in Cuba.

would dying eliminate the loan?
I doubt death would cancel it, just make it uncollectible assuming the deceased's estate has no net worth. If you owe taxes when you die, the government is still owed those back taxes (and any currently owing on deemed dispositions at death, etc.), and can look to the estate to fess up. The trustee or executor must ensure that all debts are paid before distributing funds. That's why they usually seek a Clearance Certificate from the government beforehand.

Wa wa wa....Spare us the fucking sob story, you signed a loan agreement with the taxpayers of Ontario...time to "Pony Up" Cowboy.

Maybe you should have gone to a bumfuck European country for a "free" education, big time curious to know how much OSAP allowed you.

I work in retail so i work with many students. I find it terrifying the debt this kids are in. One guy told me it was like 60'gs. Then he told me his major or whatever and I was like "good luck finding a job with that".

Another student I work with also in HUGE debt, just finishing his computer enginering degree only to learn that the market for that is dying an the outlook for a job isn't great. Sometimes it makes you think if it's even worth getting a university education.
It isnt. unless you want to get into the in demand sectors, unfortunately that means the natural resource sector, engineering, doctor, lawyer etc. kids today get no real advice in school or at home, they take BS courses in university. im so glad I didnt go to university, and guess what at 25 I have a liquid net worth of over 100k and growing. I did waste a few grand on a bs course at humber, bc I believed like everyone else the same propaganda..your guidance councilor wont tell you not to go to school. btw, if osap didnt exist, universities would be forced to lower tuition as students wouldnt be able to afford the rates and no bank would loan them the money.

If your parents have anything like decent jobs, you will never qualify for OSAP in the first place. A family income as low as $50,000 or so means you have to go to a normal bank for your loan and have your parents co-sign.
