Is the TERB party cancelled?

It's far more trite than greed or benefit. It's politics and raw ego.

i strongly disagree with the decision to cancel. If this was the official Terb party, sponsors should get in line or risk the fate of not playing ball. Their choice and their business decision. It was just a handful of sponsors that groaned. The show could have gone on.

If the issue was Muse's or Flirt's backing of the party, they could have made it known to Fred and volunteered to organize the next one. Christmas, St. Paddy's, Chinese New Year for chrissakes.

Throwing a competing party on the same date was petty and vindictive, cancelling the official party was just as foolish. Brutta figura all round.

I say put this train back on track.

It is kind of petty. But instead of Terb finding a third party, in this case a MP to organize the party. Maybe they should of had a hand in doing it themselves. I had to check all the local boards to see who was putting it together and notice a few of the big agencies are going to that instead. The other forum putting the party together isn't even close to the membership this place has. Sure says a lot about it don't you think?

Never been to a party all these years, but was thinking of checking out one. Maybe I'm must naive here, but I don't see what the big deal is that the organizers happen to own a business themselves. Other business owners are more than welcome to organize parties if they like, or partner up with each other to run something together (which is what it sounded like in this case where the girls were trying to be inclusive). What's the issue? That the organize will "benefit" from this? So what if they do? If they do the work and plan the party (which itself is actually more work than most realize), don't they deserve to benefit from it (if there are actual profits to be made)?

So confused...

We at Midway Invader did partner with Steele Royal Message for their anniversity party. Everyone was welcomed to attend. Turnout was fantastic and I believe everyone had a good time too.

Without Sheik promoting the party at Terb or other industry sponsors throwing sponsorship or other support, we did not create too much publicity. But Anita at SRM worked very hard to promote the party at their web sites and business locations. We from Midway Invader also promoted the event at all four of our locations.

We did it alone between SRM and Midway, Sheik was there personally but no other sponsors. For the record the turnout was second only to Terb X'mas Party in 2009 at the same Midway Invader.

For this cancelled party, even without the industry support, why can't Muse and Treasures put the event together alone just like what SRM and Midway Invader did?

Maybe the agency owners could play a game of "Fear Factor" to determine who gets to promote the terb party. Or maybe they could just oil wrestle at the party!
