Does anyone remember the guy that was a member about a decade ago that was obsessed with having leg lengthening surgery? He was going to Germany for surgery and was convince if he was taller he would be able to bag women but was currently too short to be successful at it. He was probably the strangest member I've encountered but he was adamant about his life changing once he was taller.
Wasn't the handle Cutebald...Yes just flipping through that thread and the handle cute-bald just runs with whole concept.
Even I'm in there giving my 2 cents at the beginning...Man that was a long time ago.

I think you're right, when I searched the thread the one I found and posted was in line with what I was remembering but the name didn't seem right which I just attributed to it being so long ago but I believe you are correct. Good memory! Was a strange and memorable post, I wonder how it all worked out?
On a side note, when I reviewed the thread it seems a lot of members are now banned yet their posts are still present in the thread which is confusing as when you get banned all of your posts are deleted. I wonder if that's because of a policy change?

His back and forth with Rockslinger/Skyrider/Darts was highly entertaining...Went on for years, lol.
Mitchell76 spammed the board endlessly with pro Trump tweets, lol...It was annoying but was fun to watch the reaction he used to get...He was off Trump for about 3 days there when the tariffs first hit but then jumped right back on.
Back in the day Fuji and Tboy were major agitators on here...Tboy moved to the ''Surf'' board then left because he said it was getting to ''pussified''.

If a handle is permanently banned, these things happen:
Custom title is removed and replaced with Banned.
Member is removed from the lists in the Members section for Most Messages, Highest Reaction Score and Most Points.
Their posting history can't be accessed through Search.
Their profile page can't be accessed.
Saved Private messages are purged.
Members on impermanent ban:
Do not appear in the Members section statistics, and you can't access their profile page. They retain custom titles, and their posting history can be found using Search.
Some, but not all, banned former members have requested that mods delete all of their posts. This last part can also apply to members in good standing who chose to leave this board behind permanently. This is the case with many of the Escorts who retire. I don't think that retired Escorts can purge other people's posts which mention them, or which may contain pictures of them, but that would be a mod's call.
For posts that have been removed by mods, whether or not the poster's handle has been banned, the removed posts can be read if some other member quoted the post(s), but the link back to the post goes to the 'can't be found' page.
This is not an official list; it's just what I've noticed through observation.
Very interesting, thanks for the enlightenment. So if a member is permanently banned how is it determined whether they will be erased completely or if their custom title is just changed to banned but there username remains? Is an impermanent ban just like a timeout?
TERB changes custom titles to Banned for permanent bans. I think a member who wants all their posts removed would ask a mod to do that on their behalf, but that's an educated guess.
An impermanent ban IS like a timeout, but the length is variable. My only ban with my current handle was 24 or 48 hours, for something minor. Someone who has been banned previously and does something more objectionable, or someone guilty of the same offense multiple times would receive a ban in accordance with the opinion of the mod who makes the call.
In the past, bans were cumulative - if someone had a two week ban, the next one would be six weeks, and another after that might be multiple months or permanent. I'll tell you more about that privately.
Some members who weren't banned change their board handle, for reasons which are none of OUR business. If that happens, their posting history will include those made with the previous handle. I don't know if the 'joined date' applies to the original or the current handle.
Oh really? I was under the impression only paid members could change their handle.
I said 'some members'. Paid advertisers form some of the membership on TERB. My point referred to the portability of their posting history. I know 'Grace' did that at least once*, and that's how I knew that it can be done.
*she said that she was born in mid 1970's in one thread, then claimed to have been a University student in Florida when Ted Bundy was active. Ted was in Florida in 1978.
There was a new thread in The Lounge earlier this morning started by someone with the handle 'sHACKBACK', but it has been removed, along with his other posts.
I think ,your posts can still be here even if you're permanently banned. I thought they were harmless guys Its just the political forum that is full of hatred.
