Sounds like the bad bay syndrome. Try the yellow pills, they tend to help.

The only reasonable response is to eliminate the cause???
How much of this has been caused by the planets reduced ability to photosynthesize??????????
Maybe the wood has been the problem for centuries.

You're ranting again. I simply posted what I think is fairly convincing evidence that global warming is real, and by a large consensus of scientists, is caused by us.
If the US State Department thought they were paying for "facts reported fittting the conclusion desired", I guess they didn't get their moneys worth.
As far as working on tundra, or what used to be tundra, you're correct, and it could pose serious problems for the pipeline as it starts to sink into the muck. The oil companies see the melting of the ice cap as an advantage because it would give them access to potential fields further north of Alaska and Siberia, currently encased in ice.happygrump said:Actually, melting tundra will make drilling more difficult. It's extremely difficult to move heavy equipment through mud, but it's a snap moving it over permafrost.
Since you ARE TALKING THEORY, aguing by providing any science beyond what has been provided would encourage your childish censurship.Ranger68 said:Yeah, okay, I'm done with this.
Nobody has any serious scientific objections to the fact of HCGW.

If possible, can we stay on topic? I'm assuming you clicked on the link, if you would like another link to the full report let me know. This study was funded by governments from many countries with diverse agendas, and at least as far as the Arctic, is by far the most comphrehensive ever done. I'm sure none of the countries were thrilled by the results. Me neither, but why don't you try reading it, or at least the highlights of it, and discussing it based on it's merits. Try looking at NASA photographs of the North Pole in summertime from 30 years ago compared to today. The differences are staggering. I'm not sure you appreciate how fast the change is happening
So to speak? No, it's not only shrinking, but may very actually disappear. The North and South poles function much like air conditioners for the earth, not so much because they are obviously cold, but because ice and snow reflect heat from the sun back into space. Once this has melted exposing land or water, that reflectivity is lost and temperatures rise. This process is happening so rapidly in the north I don't see how anyone can consider it natural.papasmerf said:I am not denying the pole so to speak is shrinking
I am however not ready to by into the sky is falling Green House effect.
I have followed the idea od the rising oceans for several years and side with the naturaly changes in climate that this planet has.

Yeah you are right. According to your opinion nobody has provided any facts, true.Ranger68 said:Yeah, okay, I'm done with this.

I am glad you feel better doing all these wonderful things. That occasional tree planting should make up for the SUV.. I guess. Most make you feel great throwing a few cans, some plastic and a few scraps of cardboard in to the bin. WOW you are such an enviromentalist I feel so stupid and insignificant next to you.blitz said:Languish!
Silly kook, are you still dangling your loose hemorrhoidal ideals around here?
Please do me a fav and get the swelling down from your ?brain?
PapaSmerf:
I Drive an SUV and I own two cottages way north of "cottage country" so I subscribe to these theories:
*leave only footprints
*pack it in, pack it out
*reduce waste
*always recycle
*eat fresh, without packaging
*Toronto's 20/20/20 plan - being single and self employed I am able to minimize light/heat/water usage as well as keep my truck off the road
*trees and gardens rule, I plant them every place and chance that I get!
I know that there is more that I do, what do you do?
Is this the new molson canadian commercial? LOLpapasmerf said:I don't suscribe to the sky is falling theory.
But I support the idea of alternative building materials, wood comes from trees. Trees and plants as you light recall from grammer school, convert Co2 into O2. WOW NATURES OWN AIR SCRUBBER!!!!!!!!!!!!
I drive several vechiles, one for work 2 for pleasure. I don't plant gardens cause I just dont take time to weed them, but appreciate those who do.
I like fresh to frozen and prefer gentle off shore breezes to any fan or air conditioning. Top off the jeep no need to cool it.
I like the smell of buning wood and stop to admire quality workmanship, in many mediums.
To me increased miliage is good, decreased performance is not necessary.
I think those who do right are trying. And wil make a difference. I suscribe to education, not legestation. And Believe we can, even when many say we can't.
Actually, I've posted links to various sites.langeweile said:Yeah you are right. According to your opinion nobody has provided any facts, true.
However you have failed to produce any theory to the contrary as well. So at best we are were evrybody else is..a draw.
Languish, you so craazee! Yo brain so lazee and yo grip so shallow!langeweile said:I am glad you feel better doing all these wonderful things. Some of your comments sound like talking points from the Sierra Club
All hail the great blitz the great protector of the enviroment.
