Evidence can be "very probable" or unlikely or substantial or controversial, etc, in support of a proposition,. e.g. in a court case.Yes, laughable.
They do not offer evidence. The top hits even includes "very probable" in the title of the opinion piece. And it only offer "arguments", no evidence.
That basically is a direct contradiction of your entire first post ;pThat's just it -- I don't have to prove that god exists. I'm not making a claim that god exists. The religious people make that claim, so if anyone needs to prove the existence of god, it's the religious people.
SHOW me the "sound concrete evidence" that shows God does not existDespite all the sound, concrete evidence that shows God, the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy do not exist, we cannot prove with 100% certainty they do not exist.
I always refer back to the "teapot theory" of philosopher Bertrand Russell (also called Russell's teapot), which I think outlines this concept perfectly.Exactly.
What can be asserted without proof, can be dismissed without proof.
OK, I will use an old one. I say there is a Flying Spaghetti Monster. You should believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster.SHOW me the "sound concrete evidence" that shows God does not exist
It's pretty funny you claim you do not need "any proof" for your assertions on one hand yet claim everyone else is misguided since their conspiracies have no way to prove them
Total tangent but lol wtf???
Conspiracies in general are a *positive* not a negative
They allege *something* has happened/is happening
I have yet to see any "negative" conspiracy
Even in your example
Person A says (positive) we landed on the moon
Person B says (positive) we faked the moon landing in a studio
Both are positives that claim they did something
Neither can disprove the others assertion
You made the claim:That's just it -- I don't have to prove that god exists. I'm not making a claim that god exists. The religious people make that claim, so if anyone needs to prove the existence of god, it's the religious people.
People wore face masks during the 1918 flu pandemic. After a vaccine was developed, the face masks came off. Restrictions were relaxed, things went back to normal.Covid is a hoax but the "war" on covid isn't. It's here to stay with us as a new normal. This is not going away anytime soon. It will only get worse, much worse.
Then explain why man hasn't been on the moon sinceA negative conspiracy theory would state, for example:
Man did not land on the moon.
The Spanish Flu wasn't conquered using a vaccine. No viral vaccine was available. The Spanish Flu disappeared all on its own. It wasn't masks or social distancing that stopped it. Once it killed off the tens of millions that didn't have immunity to it, the world moved on.People wore face masks during the 1918 flu pandemic. After a vaccine was developed, the face masks came off. Restrictions were relaxed, things went back to normal.
See?
Same thing will happen with COVID-19. The "new normal" will not be everyone social distancing and and wearing masks for the rest of eternity. Probably within a year things will largely be back to normal. The quicker people start wearing masks, social distance, avoid gatherings and get the vaccine when it comes out, the faster we'll get through it.
The dipshits who keep saying Covid isn't serious, refuse to distance, refuse to wear masks, refuse to abstain from gatherings and don't get vaccinated because that "will cause autism" are the people who are going to prolong this.
Wow...you deduce that from a single picture? They beat the Spanish flu without social distancing as per your picture? Imagine that.
Who is the dipshit now?
How many times have we been to the moon? Then explain why man hasn't been on the moon since
Why will it get worse. Do you mean politically because a vaccine is on the way so it can't get worse.Covid is a hoax but the "war" on covid isn't. It's here to stay with us as a new normal. This is not going away anytime soon. It will only get worse, much worse.
The proper response is to drown it out with similar nonsense.OK, I will use an old one. I say there is a Flying Spaghetti Monster. You should believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
Now prove to me that the Flying Spaghetti Monster does not exist.
There must be a reason why all those civilizations that used to build temples to Zeus switched their belief to Christ. The proper response is to drown it out with similar nonsense.
The same argument can be had with a devout follower of Zeus. When an evangelical Christian has to continuously battle people with false gods, the hope is at some point they realize they're using the same arguments. So yes, let's get some temples built for Osiris and Ra, and demand the same tax status, and demand they be taken seriously, and bring back the whole Pantheon, and let someone who argues for the divinity of Jesus go head to head with a priest of Jupiter and Apollo. Eventually, it's going to devolve into an argument not dissimilar to which ball team is superior, and we can all stop paying attention to the mindless drivel.
