See, there you are making racist statements about 'all Iranians'.
Sure, there are lots of reasons to criticize Iran, but none compare to the occupation, apartheid and genocide.

Fixed your post for accuracy.
Your moronic need to fake people's posts and inability to do anything but yell 'racism' shows how pathetic you are.

And sorry but if you take your moral compass from the Houthis...

Iran Summons Journalist for Reporting Outrage Over Rapper's Death Sentence

As protests erupted against the death sentence given to rapper Toomaj Salehi, the Tehran Prosecutor's Office targeted journalists reporting on the public outcry.
Yet Geno calls out Israel for a lack of journalistic freedom. Israel is approximately in the middle of the world pack, but he is silent on Iran's record, the same Iran who is 179 out of 179.

Iran should allow journalists to post articles and reports freely.
Israel should stop killing every journalist they can find.

That sound better to you?

Iran Remains Second Largest Jailer of Writers Worldwide

Iran retained its position as the second highest country to imprison writers amid the country's nationwide uprising, second only to China, according to the 2023 Freedom to Write Index.

Released on Friday by PEN America, the latest report echoes the results of last year which found that Iranian authorities continue to detain authors, many of whom are associated with the Woman Life Freedom movement of 2022.

The regime’s crackdown during the Woman Life Freedom movement that was sparked by the death in police custody of Mahsa Amini in September 2022, saw the deaths of at least 550 Iranians and the arrest of tens of thousands, including scores of journalists and writers.

In 2023, Iran remained the leading jailer of female writers in the world, with 15 women being targeted for their writing and advocacy against the mandatory hijab and other laws discriminating against women, according to the Freedom to Write Index. Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Narges Mohammadi and poet and activist Sepideh Rashnu are still behind bars.

Jamshid Barzegar, a former member of the Iranian Writers Association (IWA), told Iran International: “The Islamic Republic has become accustomed to its one-sided narrative, which excludes the voices of others. The regime does not allow writers, artists, and journalists to form and express their opinions.”

Beyond writers, the artistic community has also been targeted, from directors and actresses to songwriters and musicians. In April, Toomaj Salehi, the dissident rapper who had been rearrested in late 2023, was sentenced to death, sparking a global outcry.

The Islamic Republic has a long history of imprisoning writers and artists, including execution. Baktash Abtin died in prison in January 2022 of COVID-19 complications after he was denied timely treatment by officials at Tehran’s notorious Evin prison. The Iranian Revolutionary Court sentenced him, along with two other writers working on a book about the IWA's history, to six years in prison in 2019 for "spreading propaganda against the system" and "assembling and colluding against national security.”

Iran employ female 'hijab enforcers' to spy on bare-headed women and bundle them into vans for interrogation in new crackdown

Iran's hardliners have employed female 'hijab enforcers' to spy on bare-headed women and bundle them into vans for interrogation amid a new crackdown.

The new enforcers, dressed in black from head to toe, have been ordered to stand on the streets of cities in Iran over the past three weeks, patrolling cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, metro stations and universities.

It comes after a number of recent videos showed officials stalking the streets of Iran looking for women in breach of the Islamic Republic's dress code laws, with one clip showing a woman being bundled into the back of a white van.

Women discovered without a headscarf on, or found to be wearing fitted trousers, are approached and sent to the morality police. Then, patrol locations are decided and assigned to the enforcers by the Iranian authorities.

The crackdown follows protests that swept the country in 2022 after the death of Mahsa Amini, 22, who was arrested by the morality police for wearing her headscarf 'improperly'.

Amini went into a coma after being arrested in Tehran and died while she was in police custody in hospital.

Her father has said she had bruises on her legs, and held police responsible for her death.

Zahra, one of the women enforcers in her late 30s, told The Telegraph: 'We are the most part of implementing chastity in Iran and I am proud of it.'

She added: 'We should intimidate [women] so they stop going out as if it's Paris or London.'

Zahra was reportedly recruited in late March by the 'Basij of Sisters' and ordered to be prepared for a 'major operation' against women.

Iran's hardliners have long tried to control how women dress, with Zahra explaining that women not dressing correctly shows 'disrespect' to the religion and law of Iran.

In one video posted online, a mother tries to stop her daughter from being arrested, adding: 'She is my daughter, and it's none of your business!'

Zahra works full time, receiving 6 million rials (£8) for a six-hour long shift - more than 50 per cent higher than the minimum wage in Iran.

'I am aware of the mistreatment [women] face in detention, and it's justified given their actions,' said Zahra.

The crackdown on women across Iran follows Tehran announcing the 'Nour Project', according to the Jerusalem Post, which is aimed at 'dealing with anomalies'.

This has resulted in the heavy presence of the country's Guidance Patrol, aka the morality police - its Islamic police and vice squad - in several cities.

Police have been instructed to focus on 'positive behaviours' and avoid using 'negative behaviours,' according to Iran's Mehr News Agency. However, the Jerusalem Post's report suggests that the crackdown has been violent.

It says there have been reports from the country of sexual harassment, beatings, widespread arrests, the breaking of windows and the use of tasers.

Iran's crackdown also comes just a week after Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said that wearing the hijab was of the 'utmost importance,' the publication says.

Iran Executed 63 Prisoners in Just Two Weeks

The Islamic Republic's judiciary executed at least 63 prisoners over the past fortnight, a human rights organization reported.

In a report released on Thursday, Iran Human Rights Organization disclosed that the Islamic Republic executed one person approximately every five hours during the past two weeks.

According to the organization's findings, 63 prisoners were executed in Iranian prisons.

The report also reveals that from the beginning of this year until the end of April, 171 individuals were executed across various prisons in Iran.

Mahmoud Amiri-Moghadam, director of the Iran Human Rights Organization, emphasized the alarming frequency of executions, stating, "In the last two weeks, the Islamic Republic executed one person every five hours without incurring any cost."

Amiri-Moghadam underscored the concerning lack of international response, warning that the absence of reaction could embolden further executions.

He said, "Nations committed to human rights, with diplomatic ties to the Islamic Republic, must speak out against this surge in executions in Iran."

According to statistics compiled by the human rights organization, April witnessed 71 executions across 24 different prisons in Iran, with 63 occurring within the final two weeks of the month.

Among the 71 executed prisoners, 44 had been convicted on charges linked to drugs, 26 for "intentional murder," and one for "rape."

The victims included at least 16 Baluch citizens, six Afghan citizens, and three women.

According to a report by Amnesty International, Iran has reached its highest level of death sentence execution in the last eight years, with the judiciary of the Islamic Republic executing 853 people in 2023 alone.

The report indicates that 481 executions, more than half of the total, were related to drug crimes.

This marks an 89 percent rise in death penalties for drug-related offenses compared to 2022, when 255 people were executed.

The latest numbers also show a staggering 264 percent increase compared to 2021, when 132 individuals faced execution on similar charges.

They ignore most of Islamic extremism and terrorism, likely because most are Muslims.

My bet would be that most are not Muslim, they are just a bunch of various degrees of left addicted to virtue signalling.
it wouldn’t help their self aggrandizement if they were supporting some disgusting cause associated with the things the Islamism has been proudly doing. So it’s best to ignore then.
in a way it’s a lot like a conspiracy theory victims who believe they discovered a truth about 9/11 or flat earth. The whole idea that one can live peacefully next to Palestinians in their current state of radicalization is just as demonstrably false as any conspiracy theory. A notion that “from the river to the sea” doesn’t mean a destruction of israel and a real genocide is idiotic. But they buy it happily.
