How is Tekksavy. I do have Rogers internet. Tried fido and wasn't impressed but I'm thinking of going to Primus
Tekksavvy is o.k. I had a lot of problems in the beginning setting it up years ago. The price is not cheap anymore. The battle with the big oligopoly does not seem to be going well for resellers these days.

If you’re into gaming, or watching live sports you need a fast reliable connection.
Rogers cable sucks, all the cable piggybacker companies are using Rogers cable with slower download speeds which suck worse. Fibre is the way to go but careful lots of providers use nodes that distribute data to share in a neighbourhood, which sucks. The prices for shit Internet is high. Unfortunately only bell fibe offers good internet but at least you get quality for your dollar. BTW, full disclosure I do not work for bell or own bell stock.

For streaming in 1080HD you require at least 12Megabits per second. 4K and 8K HD need higher Download Speeds.

I have been using IpTv on an android box that i got from Amazon (around 40 bucks). Downloaded a set top box app(free version) from a play store…found an iptv provider that charge $60 for 6 months or $15 a month.
Thousands of channels…get to watch PPV events like UFC. Formula 1 is available too and tons of Adult channels (HD and 4K)

The best part is calling and cancelling Rogers or Bell

I use IPTV and I like it. After some research, I chose Apollo Group TV. No regrets. It offers 1000+ HD channels from the US, Canada, UK, etc. Also, I installed the PVR Simple Client Kodi addon. Its biggest benefit is that it lets you stream your channels on a wide range of devices (usually, IPTV service providers have apps only for Android platforms).
Is this through a app or you get a box and how much?

IPTV is such a great thing to have. I wouldn't be able to watch my European sports without it or non-English shows I like.

My only suggestion is this: make sure your IPTV provider is local. At least from the same country, the same city is even better. Make sure you get a phone # for access to customer service.

No matter how good the packages look, don't go for a foreign provider (USA or Middle East).

They can just disappear overnight, the streaming will be iffy and frustrating and you might lose the payment for that period.

Also if some of you have remotes that light up and also blue tooth capability, then beware as it really drains the batteries. Was having to change the batteries once a month on my Buzz TV remote. But fixed it by turning off the background Lighting Mode as well as the Blue Tooth Mode.

Rogers and bell do not allow 90% of live sports to be broadcast free to air. Hockey night in Canada is the only exception I can think of. You can subscribe to TSN/Sportsnet streaming services but thats over $40 per month for both last I checked. IPTV made the most sense to me.

I use https://apollogroup.tv for my IPTV service + https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tv.startupshow.android&hl=en_CA&gl=US on my Chromecast w/ Google TV stick.

It's a little more pricey (they're one of the older / bigger providers) than some other alternatives but I've found it's the most reliable (live TV + a decent movie / TV library).
There's also Plex Shares which is a good place to find what people recommend for streaming IPTV: https://www.reddit.com/r/plexshares/
I've found shares through Plex are generally a little less consistent than through dedicated IPTV services.
