Obviously your Yank pal is as challenged as you Meds-man if things like that impress the pants off him. When using a laptop/netbook I have none of those issues that befuddle him so.....

That would make the iPad an even MORE cripped device since it is far more limited than a netbook .....only the crippled iPad costs double what a crippled netbook goes for!....

For some is fare comparison if they are looking to see if iPad will handle all the tasks previously handled by their cheapo netbooks. So it all comes down to what those specific consumers are buying the pad for .
For me, those crippled netbooks suit me need perfectly. And they are relatively cheap.
