My question was on how to find out what companies are spying on you via keystroke input, because that's how they pickedup my interests, meaning they got passwords to banks too.
They definitely are spying on you all the time. Google keeps a record of every site you've ever visited, every search you've ever done. Pretty freaky when you think about it.
There seems to be 2 kinds of targeted ads. The first kind I get after I've searched for something in particular. Say for example car parts for my toy cars. I close the site down and later that day I'm on line reading a newspaper and lo and behold, an ad for the exact parts supplier that I was on line earlier that day pops up. Hmmm. Delete my internet history and no more ads from that supplier.
But the second kind of ad is more insidious. Those keep popping up no matter what and are not a co-incidence. They know things about you and it's not on some cookie contained in your browsing history. For example, I get ads for dental implants. Yes, I've had some dental implant work over the years. It's not a coincidence. I also keep getting ads aimed at my age group. It's severely fucked up.
The only thing I can think of is using a VPN all the time, something I should be more in tune with perhaps.
As far as bank passwords go, I would not be surprised. I bank with several of the banks and I've noticed that CIBC is now sending me text messages with a random code to enter some of the time. RBC just relies on questions, almost like another password. But who knows if google is keeping track of that too. I would not be surprised.
It's all a bit much frankly.
