I also read where a team in Texas had a vaccine for Coronavirus ready to test in 2006 (I think, could be off on the year) but the clinical trials were not funded. A shame but as article pointed out at that time there was no pandemic getting everyone all excited. Hindsight .....still, that vaccine was on ice and is now able to be tested so hopefully can be rolled out sooner rather than later.

Not sure, but I thought I heard that "CoronaVirus" is a more generic term whereas "Covid-19" is more specific for this strain. Tried to Google it but got too many hits that weren't helpful.

I did change plans, I'll park the hobby for a while, not that I was super active before anyway.
The virus spreads through close contact, if you see an SP and she has the virus the chance to get it from her is in the high 90s%. She is in close contact with let’s say 10 people a day, 70 a week etc... and if one of the clients have it the chance for her to get it is in the high 90s% and so on.
Do the math, there is huge difference between the community transmission rate and the hobby activity transmission rate, probably 100 times greater!
Personally, I am in demographic age group and physical state where I won't be probably severely affected by the COVID19 disease, however, I do care about the people that I am in contact with so I will restrain from it.

The disease is spread through close contact with somebody that has been infected or potentially a surface area that that person has touched. It’s not necessarily propagated by sexual interaction. You can easily substitute office worker with SP. I would say I’m at equal or much greater risk going to work everyday or visiting a bar/restaurant for drinks than I would be visiting an SP. My interactions on a daily basis well exceeds 50 ppl per day with each of those persons likely also having 50+ interactions with other persons. Visiting an SP is simply another daily interaction with an individual. It’d be wrong to suggest an SP as having a greater likelihood of being a person infected with the COVID-19. The best way to limit risk is to limit ones exposure to others and to just follow the guidelines as set forth by the medical community.

Quite a few of the ladies who used to advertise regularly on LL and elsewhere have simply disappeared...they might have retired, moved on with other endeavours and I wish them well...it's all about supply and demand, they still need to pay the bills, including advertising on those sites, and if there are not enough clients, it's a tough gig to be in.
