It's not all that evil ...
... so what's your favourite position on my little couches (Liberator Shapes) anyway? Have you checked out my new ESSE?
I had a bad experience over the weekend. I have three ESSE's and I was hoping to get one down to Toronto to use on a regular basis (I really hate the standard 'hotel room' paradigm!!!! I've just had too much of it in my life). I phoned the hotel I usually stay at and the person I spoke to said they'd have no problem storing it for me, no charge.
????
This seemed a bit odd to me. I clarified with her that she understood that this thing's box was 5.5' x 2' x 2'. Yep. she understood that. And that I wanted to store it there all the time for when I came down to Toronto every 6-8 weeks (which their records should indicate that I do). Yep, no problem. And there was no charge? No contract necessary? (My mind was thinking "insurance????")
Nope. I insisted that she check. She went off to speak with a manager, and came back to confirm, yep, it's alright -- in fact, she assured me, they do it all the time.
So I convinced my husband to drive one of my ESSEs down to Toronto this weekend to the hotel. (A situation I thought I'd cleared in advance with them by phone.)
He had a family get-together in the Stratford area around the same time. He isn't huge on family get-togethers, but I know his sisters like to see him -- and so I used this as an excuse that he should go.
Well, he arrives at the hotel in Toronto and the manager says, "no can do" with respect to storing my ESSE. DAMN! I phoned him and talked to him -- typical weener deal! He asks me who I talked to who told me it would be okay? Does it matter? If they work for him and he's the manager, isn't it his job (ultimately) to make sure that the information they're giving to inquirers is accurate????
Whatever. I won't stay there again. But unlike so many guys on this site, I know better than to cause a stink and throw a fit and say they've lost my business. A few years back, when I was less mature, I might have -- but now I realize that it doesn't really do any good. There are two kinds of businesses: those that work for repeat business, and those that don't. The ones that work for repeat business don't need negative reviews to keep their quality high. And those who don't aren't going to care about bad reviews -- there are always more fish in the sea for them.
I'm disappointed about it, and I'm still wondering how I can get my ESSE down there. It is SOOOO much fun! I think I'd come to Toronto more often if I wasn't "incarcerated" to a hotel room while I was there. I've spent too much time in hotel rooms in my life. (And my incall premises here in Ottawa are so much fun that everything else pales in comparison!). I don't know what I'm going to do -- I have to think it over.

(And what do you mean my site "needs new pics" -- the most recent pics on there are from September.)
