I can afford to hobby at least once a week at the high end incalls. How many of you can say that? Not many judging by the reviews I read. When I say afford, that means I can still buy groceries, buy gas, clothes and take my SO out for nice dinners and parties. I still can afford the luxuries of life while I spend 200 or more on a sp per week.
I guess eveybody has to brag about something. Some people about $400.00 / hour fine women and some about being able to afford a cheap piece of ass AND groceries and gas :D

I've always said that if a girl prices herself out of the market she will learn to adjust her rates to what she is comfortable charging.
That is absolutely the bottom line and all other discussions about the matter are meaningless. I agree: STFU about what an SP charges.

As I read Ruck's post, he is saying that your Lexux is really a Neon with a lexus logo slapped on. So it wont go any faster or better than the Neon, just cost more.

Am I right, Ruck?
yes, metaphorically speaking. :)
Because we all know that a neon is a much inferior car to any lexus, however, in the end, they get you from point a to point b.

hey ruck,

there is nothing wrong with looking for cheapies, many of us are looking for bargains, whether it's in hobbying or otherwise. The only thing that makes me cringe, is the horror story reviews you read on this board from cheapsters. I never once read a review where a guy paid $250 for a session with a well reviewed sp and had a horrible disgusting time.

So, for me it's about not wasting my hard earned money and time to have some revolting, psychologically traumatizing experience. Hence, no cheapies for me. To each his own...
Did you ever wonder why nobody ever posts GOOD reviews of cheap incalls?
Traffic.

I have read many reviews of disgusting times with expensive sp's.

And, for the record, hunter is right, everyone is not focusing on the discussion at hand. I never said that a SP can't charge what they want. In fact, I'm sure Miss Maya Blue can attest to me sticking up for her expensive service because it is her right and my right to decide if I want to spend that.

The point was the belittlement of others who, seemingly, are less fortunate or just have a different outlook to this activity.

I have never personally been called a "cheapster" or "cheapie" because I'm not. I spend my money wisely, that is all that can be said. This thread wasn't about me bragging about being able to afford expensive sp's and live a good fulfilled life that only money can buy. The point I was trying to make was that it's a choice. We have come to attach a term to the people who seek out the lower end sp's. Cheapsters.

To top it off. I get pm's all the time from people asking about low-end incalls. It's not a phenomenon. It's not a fringe group of hobbiests. They are the majority, believe it or not.

Ooops, I almost forgot one thing. Hey KWI. :p

now I totally understand your mentality. If you think all cars are worth the same because they get you from point a to point b, I'm not surprised you go for cheapies, cause they get you from point a to point b just the same (that is exactly a cheapster's thinking). WRONG... but just my humble opinion.

Talking down to people based on what they pay or don't pay is a perfect example of what Ruck was bitching about. Thank you for the perfect example.

Everyone has different reasons for hobbying, one group need not put down the other because they don't share the same values.

its relative Hank... some may care about the type of car due to intricacies that (in their opinion) make a huge difference.... and others could really care less if it had drive by wire, a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, or infrared sensors because all they care to do is get to where they are going... Not everybody sees things the same way; there is no "right" or "wrong"... just differeing opinions.

Same applies to hobbying

still not getting the full picture huh hank?

Okay, let me try one last time. :)
Yes, the lexus and the neon are different calibre of vehicle. Lexus being tremendously more expensive than the base Neon. In my mind and I'm sure in most peoples minds, the Lexus is the preferred car of choice.

The reality of the car being better is a mere perception because what you really get is a bunch of frills that we really don't need. Sure I love my cars leather heated seats and huge moonroof with sweet rims and I've become accustomed to it and I would never give em up. The fact remains that both vehicles are made for transportation and they both do the job. Transport you from point a to point b.

Now this doesn't mean I think that the cars are worth the same. What it means is that if I need to ride in a neon, I don't bitch about it because it is doing the job and quite well I might add. I also don't think higher of myself because I am driving a much nicer car than a Neon could ever dream to be.

Does driving a better car make you a better person? Does it make you a better decision maker? Does it enrich your life somehow that the lesser car couldn't?
