FUCK ..thats gotta hurt!!!
305$ each. the guy there told me that he wouldn't have fined the company if the company hadn't had a history of bad log books in the company. i asked him if it was my fault he was getting the fine and he said "your company wouldn't have gotten unless there was past history or just cause, first time offenders don't get fines". so basically i just made the guy look at the company, if not me then the next guy.

however he did tell me that my truck and trailer was the most mechanically safe truck he has inspected in a while.

We're going thru an MTO audit now at our company but we got 800 drivers and about 2500 pieces of equipment...so you know we're gonna get some fines...but yeah..that sucks

Meh....we're gonna get slapped...but it shouldnt be too bad.....the biggest problem is fighting the MTO over bullshit fines they levie against us...it takes forever to get it to the decision people and great if they rule in our favour(except the MTO then looks for retribution)..but ruling against us ..just increases the fine and then our insurance rates go rediculous...and we're on the MTO radar for 24 consecutive months..before the points come off.....we have a team that all they do is go thru the CVOR updates.to make sure we get our points back in a timely manner ...before we get nailed again!!...fucking rediculous.....

not a fan of them when it comes to stupid fines. the guy was showing me a trailer that they impounded and wouldn't even let be hauled off the property by a wrecker and told me the truck was taken away to the impound lot. when it comes to unsafe vehicles i support them, when it comes to forgetting to write down where you got fuel or forgetting to write down any other stupid shit, i think it is just dumb as fuck.

Apparently the good doesn't wash out the bad....

A few years back I was regularly transporting some product using my truck, but the company's trailer. I got pulled over by the ministry and apparently I had some paperwork mixed up. He told me it'd be a $500 fine. Lucky for me, he let me go with a warning. I got the paperwork re-done correctly the very same day and lo and behold the same guy pulled me over several weeks later to make sure I took his warning seriously.
