I Just Came Back From The Dominican And I Would Appreciate Your Feedback On STIs

I recently saw a few SPs in the Dominican Republic (a few days ago).

I received oral from them with a condom on, I had sex with them with a condom on and I fingered them as well.

I didn't go down on any of them, I didn't kiss any of them (except for one or two kisses on the cheek) and I didn't do anything beyond what I just described.

I should also note that I saw each one individually and I shared a hookah pipe with each one (after we did it).

However, despite the precautions I took, I'm still nervous about contracting something -- Herpes for example.

What am I at risk at, based on my actions?

Also, I booked an appointment to be tested by family doctor on Monday -- a week from now. Is Monday too early for me to be tested?

Finally, this hobby obviously isn't for me. The six SPs that I've seen have been amazing, but the potential for contracting a disease is too high (for me) and always ruins the fun for me (after the fact). With that being said, I will be bowing out after I get tested.

By the way, I saw 3 SPs in total before the Dominican. I also got tested and was (and hopefully still am) negative for everything.

Thank you so much for your feedback.

I would say get tested 3 times a year at a minimum if you hobby. I doubt any STIs would be immediately detected at the moment but still doesn't hurt to get tested. Follow up in April and October.

I am currently in the Dominican Republic and spend a lot of time here. It sure sounds like you didn't take much of a chance. It should be noted however that there is no comparison (or rather a dramatic difference) between Canadian SPs and the chicas in the Dominican Republic. In fact the difference is just as dramatic as the price is when it comes to the STD statistics. HIV+ rates have been found to be as high as 12% which is pretty alarming when we consider other STDs that are easier to transmit you have almost 100% chance of being exposed to “something” but that certainly doesn't mean you have 100% chance of being infected, however you are wise to be tested just the same. A few of the easier to cure STDs don’t have a lot of respect for condoms.

The problem here in the Dominican Republic is that the ladies will engage in unsafe practices for some extra pesos due to the poverty; sad but true.

Given that condoms do break and/or fail I stay away from those activities here with the locals, actually I guess I’m finally a local also, I spend so much time here people have stopped calling me a gringo :)

Although the chance is extremely remote for you of catching something not easily cured it would take 2 or 3 months to test positive for HIV.

Canadian SPs are something entirely different; I’ve had experiences with a number of them, get regularly tested and never a problem.

Canadian SPs do appreciate the opportunity to visit the Dominican Republic, especially in winter :)
