Thanks to all who replied -- I'm humbled that so many of you find my posts informative and useful. I obviously can't provide specific legal advice online, but if you want to see a post on a particular topic, send me a PM. I don't pretend to have all the answers, but it never hurts to ask.
Also, my position is that the criminalization of the sex industry causes far more harm than it does good. I'm a firm believer in evidence-based research; the vast majority of qualitative and quantitative data support decriminalization. On top of that, sex workers are stigmatized and marginalized to varying degrees, as are their clients. Reality is that there is an increased risk of encountering law enforcement. And that has the potential to fuck lives up, especially when there's uncertainty about how best to protect one's rights. That's why I focus so much on the legal info stuff... knowledge is power, and I want to bring power to the trenches (so to speak).
For sure there are some people who don't like my modus operandi. But I'm on the side of civil liberties, which is usually the right side of history. So I'm good.
TL;DR I'm setting out to inform people, not insult them. And provide my legal services, if necessary, to help folks navigate the criminal justice system. Thanks for all the positivity in this thread btw!
