I've used Sunwing in the past for all-inclusive holidays and never had an issue. Mind you, I will not fly unless it is an emergency during the holidays.

Am looking to go to Mexico or Caribbean on an all inclusive. Does anyone know of and have experience of similar (and better) companies to Sunwing ?

I've used Sunwing in the past for all-inclusive holidays and never had an issue. Mind you, I will not fly unless it is an emergency during the holidays.

It makes it impossible for the airline to fix anything. There is nothing available. Not accommodations, other planes extra during the holidays so when a multi-day storm happens and they get 2-3 days behind, it makes it difficult to recover.

They will recover and everyone will get home. But they are not a major airline that can just ship a plane down to pick them all up.

This is why I said I would leave the group. It is easier to find one flight on a different airline then try and wait for the group as a whole to be taken.

Then I would deal with Sunwing and insurance later for the out of pocket.

But people want cheap deals and don’t buy insurance or nothing more then just medical. Flying is not a right. It is a privilege and you have to be responsible for yourself.

This is why when I fly back from Vegas this year, it will be AirCanada. I won’t mind the extra day for a cancelation with them. LOL.

I wish my flight back from NYC with a pretty young female E.I. was stranded. But, no such luck.

Anyway, a friend of a friend is a pilot. He flies only cargo. No screaming humans bitching about their flights being cancelled.

I was not going to go anywhere either but a family member organized a big ski chalet in Colorado so I booked Air Canada biz class with Aeroplan early. (Finally got to use some of these fucking points!)

Flight was (understandably) cancelled.

The re-booking/refund process is byzantine if non-existent. Air Canada is still unprepared for reasonably foreseeable events, irresponsible and still poorly managed.

Hope to get out tomorrow early morning…so fingers crossed!

How much do you think hotel will charge for over night or two days?

No locker to put baggage's away while trying to go walking or swimming for the day.

I definitely wouldn’t be surprised if there was a sudden surge in hotel rates.
