I bet it was a customer who tipped off the police. I know if I went to a place and I suspected the girls weren't there of their own free will my next call would be to the police. I hope that's how generally everyone here feels, and I hope that's how they got caught.

Yes, this could make the escort customers look bad and the way the media writes about it, somebody would think that theres no good ladies in Canada who like working as an escort. Funny, all I see seem pretty happy and upbeat, they have a phone they can call out on. Nobody seems to be forcing them to work.

Yeah right. Not gonna happen. The majority of everyone on this board like to stick their heads in the sand and deny it happens. Everyone likes to rave about the $80 massage places and asian incalls but no one likes to think how such operations can possibly make money if they treat their girls fairly.fuji said:

Creative, I think some people may be willing to turn a blind eye, but a lot are not. I speak a couple of asian languages and I often have what I think are fairly relaxed and open and respectful conversations with the SP's I see, I ask them what they did back home, how long they've been here, how they like it, I would think if they were in trouble sooner or later someone would tell me, or at least leave me with the feeling that this is not their choice.

Four people have thus far been arrested: Artur Tomchin, 35, of Toronto, and Andrei Khazarov, 39, of Thornhill, and Daniel Leshinsky, 38, also of Thornhill, who are charged with: conspiracy to commit human trafficking, trafficking in persons, receiving benefit from trafficking in persons, withholding documents, exploitation, procuring a person to become a prostitute, living off the avails of prostitution, forcible confinement, exercising control and threatening bodily harm all three are scheduled for bail hearings tomorrow.

You have to be very careful in trying to separate the wheat from the chaff and it is not always easy to do.
