No, now I'm on the fence about the whole marriage thing in general.
Well if you are not living together now and it is not an issue with her - you have time to think about it. (Why buy the cow if you are getting the milk for free - works for both of you)

If you start to live together, the clock is ticking ...

"In Ontario, Canada, two people are considered common law partners if they have been continuously living together in a conjugal relationship for at least three years. If they have a child together by birth or adoption, then they only need to have been living together for one year."

Even living separately a person can claim a common law marriage
Law is insane

Read this:

Lack of a shared residence is not determinative of the issue of cohabitation,” the Appeal Court said. “There are many cases in which courts have found cohabitation where the parties stayed together only intermittently.”

The decision comes in the case of Lisa Climans and Michael Latner, both of Toronto, who began a romantic relationship after meeting in October 2001. At the time, she was 38 and separated with two children, court records show. He was 46 and divorced with three children.

Although they maintained their separate homes, Latner and Climans behaved as a couple both privately and publicly. They vacationed together. He gave her a 7.5-carat diamond ring and other jewelry that she wore. She quit her job and would regularly sleep at his house. They travelled together and talked about living together.

Throughout their relationship, the two kept separate bank accounts and never owned property in common.

“Theirs was a committed relationship,” the Appeal Court said.

When their 14-year relationship finally broke down in May 2015, Climans asked the courts to recognize her as Latner’s spouse and order him to pay her support. He argued she had been a travel companion and girlfriend, nothing more. As such, he said, they were never legally spouses and he owed no support. An eight-day trial ensued.

Well, first of all I'm not a lawyer but if you have doubts about your future-wife - then we might have some problems. However, that's another topic. But to answer your questions, how to protect your investment:

7) If you are already have doubts about your marriage with your fiancee - then you shouldn't even consider marriage in the first place. Indeed life is full of surprises - so it's best to learn how to protect yourself before this problem exist. If you don't marry her / live with her - you are 100% guarantee safe.
Yeah no kidding
Precedents have been set many times over
You do NOT need to live together to legally be co-habitating

He is 100% not guarantee safe lol
Can he sue you for false info now?

So if to protect myself from the continued the courts swing to lunacy - I should not go for a second visit to an escort without a prenup agreement ?????

Apparently lol

From the case quoted above she seems more like a Sugar Baby or something
Sleeps in his bed a few times, goes out on dates with him and introduces herself to his colleagues as girlfriend
Gets expensive gifts

Then asks court to declare them married???
Despite ALWAYS having separate homes and separate banks

Well the bigamy laws protect you there.

Actually I wonder. If you live with 2 women [paid or not] starting at the same time, do you become common law married to both after 3 years.
I mean on one hand, common law, on the other hand you can't marry two people at the same time.

I know you are being sarcastic in a way. I was for a while telling myself this aspect of your comment before this thread started. Then me and other guys got serious about this comment. We looked at it from a spiritual view.

I and others guys been talking about past lives, which I am into as a side interest or hobby. We found out some of our escorts from previous lives are here in our life time. Some seem to have come back as escorts (money/parental issue) others as regular citizens.

We concluded after seeing so many variables, for us/me to see the same escort less than 5 times, for other guys their numbers are higher meaning they can see the same escort up to 50 times +, and we concluded to all also say to them ...
.. this is a transaction for service not love/ marriage
... never talk about finances or trips with them. Keep it general.
... I am not here to save you or rescue you, unless it is kidnapping / trafficking

To answer your question IM469 - Don't say " I love you" worst is if she has it recorded. As long as you are not there sleeping every weekend. Common law kicks in 6 months after you moved in or "grey " area here you spend weekends together and she can prove it.

The best solution is not get involved or tell her where you live.

True story
Majority of my side pieces do not know where I live, my real name, or even my primary cell number
I even have duplicate social media pages and emails etc

Some girls are smarter than others but you would be amazed how many years some can get strung on for

I even had once one girl tell me she caught me cheating; but she did not find my "real" life
Mistress #1 had discovered Mistress #2's existence and began an online war with #2 about how she was with me longer and was my future wife
So I dumped #1 and said I was sorry to #2 (since she was easier to fool)

True Story.

At a previous employment ACME Anvil , two woman got into a fight over me, without my knowledge. On the day of the fight, I by accidentally talked to the shipper.
He said : Eve and Jane got into a fight in coffee room.
Me: you serious, how big was the fight?
Shipper: big and ugly and someone stepped in to stopped.
Me: what was the fight about - these women were not in the same department or work field. So no competition for job title.
Shipper: I don't know.
Me: ( Now I am really suspicious) was the fight over a guy?
Shipper: long pause,,, I don't know.
Me: ... Me longer pause,,,, Was the fight over me?
Shipper: I really don't know. Turning his head away.

They tried to bed me but I don't do work colleagues. Yeah I know what most men are thinking right now.

canada has quite a few tax treaties with other countries, and if they have those ties wouldnt it be likely they could weasel you money away from you pverseas?

yes!
then all you have at risk is your own freedom that you can lose if found in disregard of court order and thrown in jail.

What’s that supposed to mean? I’m pretty sure Canadian courts have no jurisdiction over property that’s outside the country.

as long as the court is satisfied that you owe the money and have means to pay an order to pay can be made.
If you don't pay you can go to jail. Imprisonment of a payor does not discharge arrears under an order.

Put simply, if you want to thumb your nose at Canadian family court, not only your money but your body should be abroad and not come back.

I am not up on Ape Law but even if they don't have jurisdiction over your property, they do over you unless you bolt out of there.

They key if you move stuff overseas is to also keep it hidden from everyone. Not as easy as it used to be.

I think crypto currencies are the only practical way to do this anymore, unless you are extremely wealthy perhaps.
