as long as the court is satisfied that you owe the money and have means to pay an order to pay can be made.
If you don't pay you can go to jail. Imprisonment of a payor does not discharge arrears under an order.

Put simply, if you want to thumb your nose at Canadian family court, not only your money but your body should be abroad and not come back.
If money is out of country they really have no way to determine how much you owe

But yes disobeying the payment order is pretty stupid unless you plan to leave country after you divorce

canada has quite a few tax treaties with other countries, and if they have those ties wouldnt it be likely they could weasel you money away from you pverseas?
Many countries will turn your assets over or disclose them in a heart beat
You need to have your funds in countries who do not play nice with us

Don't worry there are a couple good places still left

I think crypto currencies are the only practical way to do this anymore, unless you are extremely wealthy perhaps.
Nope

A crypto currency may be hidden the problem is the company / bank / individual is not

CRA can and does inspect crypto exchanges and does pursue taxes and penalties

Legal decision from March 2021

No point getting married. Once you put a diamond ring on her finger, the clock starts ticking and you will sooner or later won’t receive any BBBJ, CIM, cowgirl, missionary, in other words you will end up with no sex or intimacy. Not to mention the constant threat of paying support and losing half of your assets.
A better choice is FFL (find them, fuck them and leave them). Keep hobbling with no strings attached and be happy.

Putting your crypto in an offline cold wallet is what I was thinking.
