I am a newbie. Sorry for the silly question. The Door Fees for massage do not include gratuities. How much for the typical gratuity for a 30-minute session?

Thank you so much!

It depends on the type of extra service you receive. If it is an independent or Asian place this can be negotiated either before or after the flip but expect anywhere from $40 to $100 depending on the service requested. If it is an established spa most door fees whether it be for 30,45 or 60 min. are usually all inclusive and you can include a tip on top of that if you feel it is warranted but as always ymmv.

While the door fees are all inclusive, I've heard from MAs that some clients don't tip at all. Really? Sure, if I've had a bad session, I pay the standard fee and won't go back to that MA. But if the MA has put some effort into it and I've had fun for 45 min or an hour, I think a tip of at least $20-$60 is just common courtesy. It shows a bit of appreciation to someone who has done their best to provide an excellent service. We always tip a cabby or waiter (unless service was crap) so why wouldn't you give ~20% to your MA? If the MA has really given you something special then up that a bit. That's my opinion anyway.

I like round numbers, if she charges $180 I give her $200 if she charges $220 I’ll give her $250, not a reflection of her service I’m just a weirdo.

If her rate is already round she has to do a good job to get the $50 otherwise I won’t tip.

This might be an unusual question but do any of you tip your SP over and above her rate, and if so why, do you tip before or after and by how much. I have paid more than asking rate upfront when the SP seems really friendly or if she was super accommodating in meeting me or answering questions about services ahead of time that I want. I guess paying more upfront is not a tip but an incentive to offer superior services - can’t tell if it works though??

I only have tipped in advance if it is a regular and I just want to get all the money issues out of the way. Usually I wait until the end to see if she earned a tip. Does it work to advance a tip? I think so but it's hard to tell. I have withheld a tip to someone I had previously done in advance, maybe she said wait until we're done or maybe I just forgot. Did she try harder to make sure she got that tip? Again, an unknown.

Bottom line, do what feels right and makes you happy. If you make her happy and she shows you as much, then great.

You tip the waiter/cabby because they don't make enough or make minimum wage. Do you tip your accountant or dentist or doctor too?

I've tipped and bought gifts for some ladies but I don't think it should be expected when the door fee is all inclusive. My tips are showing up on time, not cancelling, giving a good review, having good hygiene and respecting her boundaries and repeating. I think those are good enough tips.

I tip agency SPs, unless the base rate is super high ($350 or above per hour). Less likely to tip an independent, although I still do about 60% of the time. I tip an MA but I think those places are the biggest rip-off going. Can't believe so many guys pay $200 for a handjob.

Lol that's what I think too. Majority of the time it's a half assed massage with a lot of restrictions. I used to see MAs but once I realized I was paying so much for someone to jerk me off, I quit. I can do that myself :) If I want a good massage I see a RMT for a lot less. If I want to touch boobies I go to escorts lol.

I can't believe so many guys spend their days hunting through Leolist for that elusive SP who isn't fake/provides mediocre service/is priced in the $300+ range. To each their own.

How much is your RMT who is fully dressed and no release, for an hour? It's $160-$180 for a DDG MA with DD boobies, if we are being autistic about it. LOL

For $70-90 you can get a certified professional, who actually knows what they're doing. It's cheaper if you look around and also have insurance.
I get that some people enjoy Body slides at Spas but MA sessions usually left me wanting more.
Some MAs are ok with extras and some will go whining on Twitter if you ask about it.
Escorts take the guess work out of the equation. I know what I'm paying and what services I will most likely receive. That's why it doesn't make sense to me to even pay $100 for a handy. Different strokes for different folks I guess lol

I feel for the Ottawa guys. Slim pickings in Ottawa but in Toronto for $100-240 you get gorgeous escorts who provide amazing service.

As someone has opined here, to each their own. What gets one person off or constitute sexual fulfillment and gratification does nothing to another person, the robust activity in the local spas here in Ottawa speaks to the level of interest in a lot of folks seeking the GFE experience at the spa, the seduction by amazingly beautiful, (in and out) DDG massage therapists, hot shower make out sessions, more time for folks, IMO to play and explore their fantasies with the attendants due to the more relaxed convivial atmosphere (plus lots of attendants offer a variety of fetishes for a small fee, can be discussed beforehand via Twitter, for instance).

I think there is no need to bash those that prefer MAs, it's their money and their choice, and they get their sexual satisfaction at the spas.

Guys, we're all on the same side and here for the same reason. We all donate to ladies who tickle our fancy and our fancy is found a few inches below our belt buckle.
The only difference is how we like our fancy to be tickled.
