The data is for SUICIDE...self inflicted intentional death...not letting oneself go and dying young due to ill health.

Sorry I swear I didn't see the title only the x and y axis. That's what made it so confusing.

The difference in suicide rates between men and women could be how they handle pressure and stress. Maybe women gravitate to other self destructive behaviour rather than suicide.

We have to assume that men and women deal with stress in the same way for us to be able to compare suicide rates between genders.

Nope I am not trying to maintain a world vision where tings are all right. Go to the thread on Changing face of crime where I put a pretty negative view on changing attitudes and trends resulting in small town Canada not being the idylic experience I rmember it to be.

I acknowledge that lots of guys have a problem with dating. But I refuse to acknowledge that it is futile and that they should give up.

The difference is that it seems some are saying "there's a problem and it's hopeless."

I'm in the other camp saying that "there is a problem but you have a chance."

I *somewhat* admit that for myself. After all, you're talking to someone who had a hot 18 year old wanting him when he was 28.
However I dont believe men who dont receive IOIs have any chance in the world.

I dont accept it because Ive seen men who go through women ... f**king 2,3,4 or more a month and women flocking to some men even just to hang out. And Ive seen and talked to other men who get nothing. I also emphasize that Im a special case, so its not necessarily applicable to me.

No one said the change would be sudden. Working on all aspects of yourself from appearance to attitude to experience with women will take time.

Why can't you do both. Keep trying (put some of the advice into action) and hobby at the same time?

If a quick fix is what you are hoping for it's not there.

Going back to the original post are there other guys like you certainly. Do all of you guys have to stay that way. Absolutely not. Some men get better with age.

They are out there & their uglyness or what ever is not going to change & no matter how personable they are women will do no more then befriend them at best. Seriously though maybe some counselling would be a good idea.

Please don't takee that as insult. I'm just saying that even in the face of reasonable and doable suggestions some of you continue to paint yourselves as so far gone that it would be impossible.

This suggests that you've obviously done an extremely good job of convincing yourself of this....... no amount of discussion on a forum can address what a profesisonal counsellor could do for you.

Frankcastle you could not know since you have not met me & perhaps even many of the guys. It comes after 15 - 20 years of seeing women not give the slightest ioi. Before you say maybe I don't clue in to them , I have been around enough guys & seen the ioi's directed at them plenty of times to recognize them. I see the difference of a woman talking to me like I am her brother or girlfriend & how she is with the guys she projects interest in. Also I can have convo & be social. Not like I am super shy & a shut in.
