I do think that your system of "checks and balances" has turned out to be a bit of a disaster. I think it puts partisan bickering on the front burner and that's one of the reasons why you have four year long election campaigns. I think it's also been highly damaging that you haven't been able to get a proper budget passed in god knows how many years. Much better to have a minority Parliament in which failure to reach a deal is punished by a trip to the polls.
