How fast do you expect an SP to reply to e-mail?

Last month I had booked a 90 minute session with an independent girl that I had wanted to see when she worked at an agency. We had Friday night booked for 90 minutes.
I had never seen her before so I wanted to ask her a couple of questions prior to our meeting to make it more comfortable so I sent her an e-mail on Monday, four days before our scheduled meeting
Thursday night came and she still had not replied to my e-mail so I assumed she was no longer interested in seeing me so I booked a 90 minute session with an agency I trusted.
I left my home at 1pm on Friday afternoon and still no reply from my indy. I checked into my hotel room at 5pm and suddenly the indy had finally replied to my e-mail.
She asked if we could move our appointment to Saturday night instead. She had been out of town tending to a family emergency and had been unable to reply to my e-mail.

That is funny because all week long I had seen her posting on Twitter and I had even tweeted her about my question, without success I may add.

She sent me an e-mail recently asking if I wanted to re-book our time together next time I was in Toronto. I told her that there are many girls in Toronto that have never stood me up before so I was no longer interested in seeing her.

If I was a repeat customer maybe I would have considered it but not with a girl I had never seen before.

@NorthernBear Had this happen a couple of times. Email is a lousy way to communicate in this activity. If I get no answer in 2-3h, I make alternative plans. Time is a precious commodity.

24 hours.
Beyond that, I assume no reply is forthcoming and plan accordingly. If one does come later, hey great.. but my schedule isn't guaranteed at that point. And if a reply never comes.. well, I usually don't bother to chase people, and choose not to try to book that provider.

If I deal with an indy, I always give them the benefit of the doubt and only expect a response within a few days. Most of us do have mobile devices capable of receiving e-mail, but SP's have to be more careful not to mix their work and personal lives. That being said, there are ways of setting up your e-mail to automatically respond with your details like contact info, hours of when you are working, how long it is going to take you to respond, etc. All e-mail services like Gmail, Yahoo, etc. have a "Vacation responder" that you could leave on all the time.

There are more advanced services like Constant Contact, Get Response, etc. that can auto reply too, but they have a monthly charge.

I expect that agencies already have such services and should be able to reply a lot faster to e-mails and voice mails.

Zero expectations. When I find some time to hobby, I send out texts/emails to 5 or 6 individuals/agencies indicating what date and time I'd like to play...from there it's totally random, first positive reply wins my prize

Great perspective!

I ask on my website 48 hours for the reply but of course it also depends on how busy I am-during exams it can get pretty bad. But my schedule fills up quite in advance so most people know to give me plenty of notice.
That said, sometimes I just won't reply at all for safety reasons.
Give me a break, this is not a thesis, its a yes or a no.
Titalian, what's your beef with Kat? This is the second thread in recent memory that you slammed her on...

Her place
I used to employ a variant of this. I have a list in my mind of who I'd like to see and just run down that list. I sequentially request bookings one girl at a time. no response in 24 hours to a booking request, next. I feel this is reasonable and most sps I'm sure can figure this out on their own and won't take offence. In the off chance I double book, I ask if the ladies are up for a duo. This system worked out well last year ;)
I do something like this.

I stand in random popular intersections downtown and yell out the names of escorts (think A Streetcar Named Desire, but without the tank top...it's cold out there) waiting to see who will respond first.

Hasn't worked yet, but when it does...guaranteed best session ever. Added bonus, I've made almost $6.00 from people who didn't understand what I was actually doing

For an e-mail sent Saturday for an appointment on Wednesday certainly by noon on Sunday. If there were follow-up e-mails back and forth about requests I'd expect a more rapid turn around.

Two comments - firstly I am amazed at the number of guys who book 24 hours or more in advance. Maybe my physiology is different then these guys but I find that quite often I wake up in the morning and I have an "itch" that I just need scratched....right then!! I understand that being partial to "indy SPs" this will limit the availability, and I completely understand and respect why many SPs have rules about no same day appointments. But there is something I find very appealing of being able to call up an SP and be in her arms within 90 minutes. Maybe it's just me.

Having said that - my predilection did lead to a serious problem a few weeks ago. I E-mailed one of my favorite SPs around 9:00 am one morning to see if she had any availability that day around noon. As my itch was particularly severe that day, when I hadn't heard from her by 10:30 I proceeded to make plans with another young woman. Around 11:00-11:30 I received a call from the first SP that she had booked a room for 1:00 pm for us. When I told her that I could not make it, she turned quite belligerent, complaining that I had cost her money by having her reserve a room and then backing out. I was stunned. Firstly, I felt that there was no way my first e-mail could be interpreted as a "firm" booking. Secondly, given that we had already met on 4 previous occasions and she had gotten to know me (as well as my generosity - I typically leave a tip of between $100 and $200), I felt that she was treating me unfairly. Needless to say, I have no intention of meeting with her again. I have also noticed in her most recent ads that she has included wording about banning clients who are no-shows and feel that this is directed directly at me. The shame of it is that I think we had an amazing time together and I was looking forward to seeing her many more times in the future.

Some times you need to book 2-3 days ahead because the girl is really popular or don't want to take the chance you won't get the time you want. Some guys might even have to come up with elaborate lies that require weeks of planning to get away from the so for the day.

Agreed about the email with no confirmation she sounds crazy.

It all depends on the individual. Some can call and see an SP at the drop of the hat, others have to schedule it in because of work, travel time restrictions, significant others, etc. We are lucky to have the freedom of choice in this town for now.

CC, I would wait until the Blue Berries dry up, the Salmon stop running, and until hibernation is over.

^^ Awww....shucks!

Just to clarify, our appointment was already booked and (I thought) confirmed. He was e-mailing to ask if he could change the time and I didn't read it until the following morning.

I almost always PM or email days ahead of time as my schedule is now never freewheeling. Then, on the day of, it's usually a flurry of texts as to the location.

Hrmm...my "Edit post" never went through. To answer the question...I expect a reply within 48 hrs but would be very pleasantly surprised if it was within 24.
