I have tried on several occasions to shave my balls, but I invariably end up nicking myself or something. I have tried a razor, clippers, a beard/moustache trimmer, and have had a female friend do it. The latter was the only real successful way, but it was a little nerve-wracking at first. Anyhow, how is it done successfully?

you could try using the razors they sell for women that have the little wire guards on them until you get really used to doing it.
I believe they are sold by shick (sp?)
The wire guards don;t allow for a really close shave but it is pretty good and when you get used to it you can graduate to the Mach 3 if you are feeling brave.

I'm not called taperman for nothing. Here's a good trick works on all kinds of body hair. Take a few strips of duct tape and press it on your hairy balls. Now tear the tape quickly. You might want to bite down on a wooden spoon. After you have removed the hair on your nuts the tape comes in handy for any bondage fetishes.

Kiarra has mentioned the best technique, just make sure you pull the skin taught and go slow the first few times. It's best to do lying on your back rather than standing up. For 9 years now, Smoothie has been my nickname and I have never nicked the boys.
There's a wonderful powder called Magic Gold I believe, available in the more ethnically centered area of your drug store. Black men use it on their faces instead of shaving. You just mix a bit with water, slather it on, and baby soft skin minutes later after you shower it off. Lasts for days too.
Great hint for the ladies too. No bumps, no nicks, no smell, and no chemical rash like the stuff that women are supposed to use.

I have to agree with Kiarra. First it's best to apply a face cloth which has been soaking in hot water. This helps tighten the skin an soften the hair. shaving cream and yes a Gillette Mack 3. Take your time and things will go all right. Ummm makes it more interesting i guess if a women like Kiarra was doing it.

I've found that for the best results using an electric shaver (I use a high quality Braun) with a generous amount of baby powder dusted on the member works best. Appy a hot damp cloth prior to shaving and you'll get 'kudos' from the opposite sex!

I also use Gillette good news disposables. Have done for years. I shave in the shower but prefer the tub for better access and control. Creme hair conditioner is best for shaving as it is very slick.
Basically, when the water is hot, shaving your balls is just like trying to shave an octopus, he's constantly in a fluid-like motion, a sensitive beast that'll get ya where you live if you make the slightest mistake!
